Probably one of the more common websites, but Spark Notes does a really good job of helping you handle the sheer volume of material in The Odyssey, Wikipedia could probably help as well. I had to read it last year and probably the hardest part (for me at least) was following the chronology and genealogy of the characters. I also had problems with the different Gods, there is a god for pretty much everything so i would focus on that and how everyone is related to everyone else because this can really help you to understand the flow of the story and how everything is connected. What is the best way to study for a test on the book ';The Odyssey';? Well im also reading the same book in my class and my advice would be to read it again, but if you just arent understanding it, ask your teacher or friends that you might have in that class. i think that at some parts of the book it really lags and i personally dont understand it, but i just ask my friend to summarize it. good luck on getting it. =] i swear the end gets better.
Go to sparknotes.com
And if you have your own ';The Odyssey'; book, I suggest you highlight important things in there.
But the best thing to do is actually read it, even if it's boring or difficult to understand. Go ask your friends for help.
