The only acting experience I have is being an extra in a commercial recently. I have a couple of special skills but nothing exciting. No acting training, no theater...I think my resume will look pretty empty and pathetic! I know they don't usually require resumes for extras but this ad definitely said so.
How do I go about beefing it up (without lying)? Also, instead of a headshot, would it be okay to print like a 4 x 6 directly on my resume? I can get my husband (a graphic designer and ad photographer) to do a headshot, but would it be more appropriate to give a small photo, based on my lack of experience?
Help! I am so new to all this!Help! Advice needed on resume and headshot for inexperienced movie extra!?
Since ur new give them what they ask for a 3x5 snapshot of urself only. Try to think back to high school days. Were there any areas where u might have been in a talent show or lip sync? Also u have to sell urself to these people so look into urself and discover ur own talents, and personality traits add those to ur resume/portfolio. Its ok to be new that's not a bad thing. New people r liked cuz there not set in their ways, their not ';know it all's';. They can mold u into what they want u to be. Remember we all start from some where, so take it easy and take a big breath before the audition %26amp; things will work out fine. Good Luck I hope it works out for u, it has for me so far. =)
