You're less than a year for completion if you aren't particular about the degree major.
Look at 'The Big Three' liberal arts/general studies programs

Each of these three are generous with transfer credit and have very flexible degree requirements.Hi,I need help with advice of how to finish my bachelor degree.this is the situation- I have a AAS degree ?
You're golden! Schools might vary a bit, but mine requires 128 credits for a BA or BS, so you're less than a year away! I would look at the makor requirements at your college, and choose one that can make use of most of the courses you've received credit for already. I would recommend going to school in person, rather than online; you worked hard for that degree, and it'll look better for you to finish it in person.
Here's a link to the majors requirements for my school; each will vary, but this will give you a general idea of majors to look into, and living in California you've got a HUGE number of schools at your disposal.

Can you help me with some dog advice for a new dog owner?
I got a dog! He is 10 months old. So cute, already very attached to me. This is part of my problem. I have only had him for 3 days and already he goes so nuts when he sees me after just even 5 minutes of being out of the ROOM that he'll jump around and flip out. Sometimes he even wets himself a little. I know that this is anxiety, how to help it?Can you help me with some dog advice for a new dog owner?
This is puppy all the way! Ignore him when you walk into a room, do not even look at him. Once he's calm and quiet, then gently acknowledge him with a pat and a few kind words. He will learn that is that behavior you desire. Have fun!Can you help me with some dog advice for a new dog owner?
Welcome to world of the new dog owner. Your dog's reaction is normal and healthy! Dogs are pack animals and as the leader of your dogs 'pack', he is just excited to see you. He will eventually calm down the longer he is with you. You can be stern but go easy on it as you don't want to curb some of his enthusiasm. Go slow and have fun!
if you acknowledge puppy, don't talk baby talk.... soft voice, firm if needed. after a while he'll grow out of this.....
the wetting is just excitement in seeing you.... our mini dachsund does this occasionally.
Be Blessed!
Just ignore him when he is going nuts and praise him when he is calm, also give him lots of exercise. A tired puppy is a good puppy!

What should I do? Your advice???? HELP!?
Due to recent job loss, I am having to move out of state and I am unable to take my household items/furniture/barbie collection/TV's and other items with me. I want to get the best value I can for my items and I am faced with either having a huge moving sale or having an auction service take everything. Since this is the weekend before Christmas and I live in Northern Michigan, I don't know how a moving sale would work and since I live in an apartment, I would have to open my home up for everyone to pick through. I am planning on leaving in one week, and I don't know what I should do. One auction place offered me a buyout for $900 for everything, but that's almost giving my stuff away. The other auction place will pick up everything and hold an estate sale in January, and after thier 30% cut, I get the rest, and they do have a good reputation according to the Better Business Bureau. I feel I would get a better value, but I hate leaving my stuff behind. Any advice??What should I do? Your advice???? HELP!?
This is a tough one. I recently lost my job and me and my son had to move in with my parents, they have no room for my stuff so I had to put it in storage...but I understand it is hard to put stuff in storage with no money because of no job. So I sold some of the stuff like my bedroom set and mostly big stuff so I could afford a small storage unit. I sold to friends so it went fast. I thought of ebay but it takes a few days for people to bid then a few for them to send money then you have to worry about shipping and all that. Try the local paper too. Hope everything works out for you..God BlessWhat should I do? Your advice???? HELP!?
That's a tough one. You might want to try the local paper with an ad that states the type of items you have for sale (since time is of the essence) and have people call for a price on a group of items (let's say all your Barbies) or for individual items. There are a lot of collectors who check the paper frequently, also, there are many people who need furniture and will call to ask if you have something they're looking for..... Good luck!
Decide what you want take pictures, and put it on craigslist and give a price for just buying it all.
if you can't sell everything right away then rent a storage area until you figure out what to do with your stuff.
Put it in storage or let the stuff go to auction remember used stuff is worth about 20 % of new value and that may be to high
well it,s not good either way but you must do what you can see yard sells are a cheap way to buy things and in a way a auction is to.my nephew,s mother got a good couch for $20.00.if i was you i would go with the second auction place
Try calling an Estate Sale Person instead of an auction place. You get better prices on your stuff. I would sell the barbie collection or any other valuable collection on e-bay. Dealers are the people shopping at auctions mostly and they have to make a profit on your stuff when they buy it, so they try to pay as little as they can. Unless you can have an Estate Sale at your home! It may be to late, but a smaller estate dealer could pull it together in a couple days and have a sale for you this weekend! I'm in MO and the market here is not very good. We have a hard time moving furniture and smalls right now. Even the antiques are going for a song, so don't expect much on the dollar compared to what you paid for it. Best of luck on your sale and move!
Either way you're not going to get to do what you really want or feel comfortable with. So, I would go with the 2nd choice since they have a good reputation thru the BBB. Sounds like you would get a better value thru them %26amp; January isn't that far away. It'll be here before you know it.
That really isn't much time. But estate sales are very common and reliable. My suggestion is, (if it is possible financially) to place your items in a storage facility for a month or two until you can be there for the sale of the items. A small storage facility. for ex: 5x10 is inexpensive monthly. Just be sure the facility is in good shape and there is no water leakage, etc. Good luck to you.
Put it in heated storage and come back and get it when you can. No one will give you a great price for your good because you need to get rid of them so fast.
E-Bay/ or halw it
sounds like your choice is already made.
you did a good job-checking it all out.
get a written inventory of the items and a contract on them
Depending on the items, I would give away the stuff you know that others will love and you can donate the furniture to charity for a writeoff and the ';sale'; items send to the auction house.
The rest will just go to charity anyway. So start sorting now.
Good luck.
Start selling some things yourself right now. Personally, I don't care for EBay. I have had good luck on craigslist and my local paper where you can post ads online for free.
An ongoing moving sale isn't so bad, but box up and store what you know you can't part with.
Lastly, after using the above suggestions, let the auction place you feel comfortable with sell the rest.
My advice is to just maybe sell some of your better stuff on ebay, or go with the place that will sale the things in janurary, but if you do want to just get your money's worth, why don't you try to sell them for a good price on ebayfemale mask

My friend found out her parents do drugs and she needs advice. How do I help her?
My best friend found out her parents smoke pot and snort cocaine...which is very unusual because they aren't the type AT ALL to ever do that. She's crying and she needs my help. How do I help her? How can she get her parents to stop? What should I be guiding her to do and how should she be handling this?
Please help me out! Thanks.
-SamMy friend found out her parents do drugs and she needs advice. How do I help her?
I personally believe that smoking pot isn't that big of a deal, and i know plenty of adults who smoke cannabis regularly. I would not worry that her parents smoke pot!
Cocaine on the other hand is a different matter all together, my personal belief is that its bad and should not be done, HOWEVER i also know adults who occasionally do cocaine and they are very nice people.
I think ultimately it depends on how her parents react when doing cocaine, if it effects them negatively and they become abusive or it causes other problems then i think it is quite a bad thing.
BUT as you said, they aren't the type to do that, meaning you would not know unless they told you because it does not effect them in a bad way, it seems like although cocaine is known to be a very bad drug, some people have no problem with it and merely enjoy themselves whilst under the influence of it.
The mother of one of my ex girlfriends used to smoke cannabis and take cocaine, and she was a very nice woman who i got on with very well!
I would tell your friend not to worry if there are no problems coming from their use of cocaine. Certainly tell her not to worry about the fact they smoke pot!
Hope this helps a littleMy friend found out her parents do drugs and she needs advice. How do I help her?
She must stay out of it. It's an adult matter, and nothing to get hysterical about in an adult. The best thing she can do is not follow in their footsteps: cocaine in particular is a harmful, addictive drug.
Please help me out! Thanks.

You're less than a year for completion if you aren't particular about the degree major.
Look at 'The Big Three' liberal arts/general studies programs

You're golden! Schools might vary a bit, but mine requires 128 credits for a BA or BS, so you're less than a year away! I would look at the makor requirements at your college, and choose one that can make use of most of the courses you've received credit for already. I would recommend going to school in person, rather than online; you worked hard for that degree, and it'll look better for you to finish it in person.
Here's a link to the majors requirements for my school; each will vary, but this will give you a general idea of majors to look into, and living in California you've got a HUGE number of schools at your disposal.

My advice is to just maybe sell some of your better stuff on ebay, or go with the place that will sale the things in janurary, but if you do want to just get your money's worth, why don't you try to sell them for a good price on ebay
Can I get some help/advice with dog training?
I taught my puppy to sit.
I taught my puppy to sit and shake
I just taught her how to ';speak'; on command but now since we have been working on that so much.... she immidiatly thinks I want her to ';speak'; when I am asking her to sit! Poor thing is confused. Any advice?
How do I teach her to lay down? She does start training 1 week from today. I hired a dog trainer to come into our home. I just want her to know some things now.Can I get some help/advice with dog training?
maybe the words speak and sit sound to much alike for your puppy to tell the difference, also in my experience when you work on one command so much the dog either forgets the other command or gets so use to the one command it automatically will do the same command hoping it will get it right, kinda like what kids do when they learn colors or numbers or there letters, what is this color and they say blue. If blue is the only color that they have learned they are going to say blue to every color that they see even if its not blue, and they can tell the difference but they don't know any other color to shout out, same with if they learn the color red then you spend weeks teaching them the color green and then you go back and ask them what the color red is they are going to say green because that is the freshest color in their mind, I'm not saying only teach the doggie one command but as you teach them one command don't forget to refresh them on their previously learned commands. Can I get some help/advice with dog training?
well since she's learning speak, make sure you teach her ';quiet'; too!
to teach laying down you can put the treat in front of the dogs nose and then bring the treat down under something, use your leg or a table, so that the dog is forced to lay down to follow the treat with it's nose. also, try teaching with hand signals rather than just words, something to show the difference between sit and speak. lol. just google training videos :)
I would get a treat in one hand and say down as you bring the treat down to the ground slowly. they will follow the hand movement and make her lay down for a couple seconds. or you can take take your index and middle finger and put them together and signal the two fingers up and then down.remember to give a happy praise with a high pitched voice if she lays down for at least 5 seconds. ( sorry if i cant explain that very well)
Are your words or hand signals too similar for those two actions?
When my dog was in a sitting position, i would put a treat in front of him and slowly move my hand to the floor. He would follow the treat, and often lay down when I did that. Now, his hand signal for lay down is a downward motion with my hand.

Moving to Brisbane, Australia. Can you help with advice about taking and using electrical items?
Can we take without problems, washing machine, electric cooker, lcd tv, dishwasher. ... Any help appreciated....Moving to Brisbane, Australia. Can you help with advice about taking and using electrical items?
Waste of time and money. Australian voltage is 240V 50 Hz and there is a fair old chance that your stuff will not be approved for use in Australia because of the way houses are wired here, with an earth pin on appliance plugs unless the stuff is ';double insulated'; to Australian standards. About the only things I'd bring are dual voltage electric shavers.
I don't know where you are coming from but there is also a fair chance your TV will not work. Analog TV in Australia is PAL-D, a more advanced system than the primitive analog NTSC used in the USA (if it is still used there) and also a different system from that used in Europe, though closer.
Maybe your TV has several reception modes, mine does. We are told analog TV is to be phased out soon anyway, a digital set might work but who knows.
Your DVDs will not play on an Australian DVD player unless you get a de-regionalised DVD player here. Your cell phone will not work unless it is tri-band and has an Australian SIM card.
Your CDs and CD-roms will work.
Your portable battery operated radio will work.
Got to this site, go to ';World Eectric Guide'; and scroll down to ';I';, which is the power plug type used in Australia and New Zealand and most of the Pacific Islands.

Your mobile charger may be OK, some suitable for 100 -250V - adaptor needed. Laptop - dunno, probably.
cost of shipping them here + converting them will be more than getting them here
You'll need step-down transformers/converters and some adapter plugs. Australia's voltage is 240.

MapleStory warrior 2nd jobs help advice?
I want to know if it is better to be a fighter or a spearman.
Which kills faster?
Which hits higher?
Which has better skills?
Etc, etc, etc.
Also i noticed with my Iron Ball weapon that the damage is not very stable. It seems to do far more damage when it goes in an arc rather than stabbing.
Thank you.MapleStory warrior 2nd jobs help advice?
Well spearman is the best and strongest. And the first answer is true dark knights are weak but if you stop raising dex at lv 38( which is 76 dex) and raise str only for the rest of the time, you'll be strong because you dont really need dex to wear items, only str. so if your lv 38 right now, then stop raising dex. and if you become a spearman, if you want to be stronger, use a spear.MapleStory warrior 2nd jobs help advice?
if you're not planning on 4th job go with spearman and become a Dragon Knight. I heard dark knight sucks.. but Dragon knight is good until 120..
If you're planning on 4th job go with fighter and Crusader. You will suck at fighting during Crusader and fighter. but After 120 when you become Hero everybody will invite into their party. But remember it's hard to lvl up..

Why is there so many bitchy people on here i come on here for help and advice and there is alot off nasty comm?
has any one realised on here how many silly imature ppl there is , when us normal ppl are on here for advice .has any one else noticed this ?Why is there so many bitchy people on here i come on here for help and advice and there is alot off nasty comm?
Yes sweetheart you are so right......I have noticed it too.....sad isn't it? Just remember that no matter where you go there will be good and bad people. Please don't let the bad people on here still your joy......because miserable people want to make other people miserable. Don't let anyone else be in control of your happiness. (smile) Love JaN JaCkSoNWhy is there so many bitchy people on here i come on here for help and advice and there is alot off nasty comm?
i get proper abused on here. i ask for a slight bit of advice and it gets chewed up and spat back out of me. when i leave a truthful comment
example: when someone asked who picked their nose in public, i put about it being normal for everyone to pick their nose and how funny it is when i forget im doing it on the bus, and like 16 snobs all put serious answers like, no, thats gross. lighten up a bit likee.(y)
I only retaliate against non-Americans who think they're superior and put my country down, those who always ask ';am I pretty/what ethnicity am I'; or those who go on ad nauseum about marijuana. When people ask legitimate, serious questions, I do my best to answer to the best of my ability. But rants deserve what they get - especially since they're against Yahoo Answers! Guidelines/Terms of Service anyway.
yeah im one of those people that leave some silly comments. I just hate it when americans ask questions that PRESUME the whole world are american and know what they are on about. They don't explain their question and do my head in so i leave them an answer that is worthy of their low intellect
I agree with you 100%. I spend my time trying to help people who need advise. I'm knowledgeable and been around. And there are so many 'wise-guys' giving their criticisms that it can drive a person up a wall. Especially someone who need help. I guess when it's not a face-to-face conversation, the bums get brave and feel good about verbally hurting people. Sad, isn't it? Anyway, good luck to you. Feel free to contact me via YA email, I'll be happy to talk to you.
I agree with Jan Jackson.
And oh, so stop with the lame attempt at a slam on people in the U.S. Ignorance KNOWS no borders. Thank you for demonstrating that very fact.
The term ';American'; can include anyone from the U.S., down to the southern tip of the South American continent.
Groan.
We have a lot of teenagers who are bored and try to get a rise out of people, then of course, we have the odd angry Brit now and then, as is evident by the first answerer, just part of being a public site.
I agree with you. If you ask a question, be prepared to ignore the unkind answers you will invariably receive. The rest will be sensible and helpful.
Gotta agree with the OP, in my experience most of the stupid questions come from Americans, and deservedly get silly answers.
I guess a lot of politicians use this too.
Yes, but you have to realize a lot of them are teenagers that's why.

What does he mean? He said this to me, I need advice Help!?
Theres this boy and I know he likes me its a long story but i found out that he does. this past week ive felt awful ( im sick) so i havent been in my best mood and he said this Are my standards to high for you?
what does he mean by saying that?
Help please %26amp; thank youWhat does he mean? He said this to me, I need advice Help!?
He means (i think) that he thinks you're doing your best to make him like you or something, and he's asking if he needs to expect less of you. he doesn't seem very nice, that's not a compliment what he said. i think.
try asking him what he meant, or texting/emailing/im'ing him about it, so it will be less awkward. texting or doing something in that form is always less awkward, but i would do Email because you don't have to reply right away, and there aren't any silences.
good luck! ;)

Advice/help about a Halloween job at a haunted house.?
Alright so I got a letter from them about when it is and a form I have to fill out. And I have to go to auditions.. It's Creepy World in fenton, mo.
But my question is for auditions like what do you have to do? And do you have to like wear a costume to the auditions?Advice/help about a Halloween job at a haunted house.?
Costume is probably not required. Auditions are more than likely to see how well you move and what type of monster you might be (such as a silent follower, or a startle actor).Advice/help about a Halloween job at a haunted house.?
The only way to find that out is to call the company, or email or look up their website. I would suggest having a costume ready, and at the very least have it with you (if you aren't in it). If you have it in a bag with you, if you get there and every one else is in costume, you can duck into the restroom and put it on. If you go in it and you are the only one, that may not be a bad thing, the people doing the hiring will see you are serious and a go getter. Hope you get the job!female mask

Hi all I really need advice? Please help its very important?
I worked for a seasonal tax company as a branch manager for 6months. It was my first year I also worked as a tax preparer. 15 days before my branch was closing I got call from headquarters and they informed me the bank deposit and the accounts are not matching. On investigation they found I was supposed to deposit money every day instead of lump some of two days or so they never provide me any training on that. After three months of season is over they are telling me that cash is missing so they cannot rehire me How do I know we had four receptionist I tried to match balance as much as I could I was not given any training on that .I am so pissed when they informed me. I have not even taken a penny why me they did no investigation just because I am a manager I am asked to leave. They asked me I did not take any corrective measures against anyone but I was not informed that cash is missing until now when office is closed over three months.
Please advice what should I do.Hi all I really need advice? Please help its very important?
talk to an attorney, get some advice from one, they could be nasty and accuse you of embezlement, not to mention it does go on your records for when you want to get a new job and they ask for references...so talk to a lawyer, one who does business law.Hi all I really need advice? Please help its very important?
If it's any consolation, you're better off out of there. Sure doesn't sound like a company I'd want to work for. They put you in charge but didn't train you properly, so you had no real way of knowing what you were supposed to be doing.
As long as they aren't trying to blame you for taking the missing money, chalk it up to experience and move on. Not much else you can do at this point.
Good luck..

My wife and I are moving to Ansbach, need help with finding/advice on housing?
We are thinking about living off post but we were wondering if anyone had any advice or information for living off post. Or if you know how the on post housing is? Thanks! My wife and I are moving to Ansbach, need help with finding/advice on housing?
In January 2007 a USAREUR-wide memorandum was put out that all personnel had to be assigned to on-post quarters if available for money-saving purposes. Currently it is actually possible to get off-post housing for most ranks though.
It will depend what rank you are to see how much money you will have. However, it is possible to get a townhouse or even single-family house with the OHA you'll be getting. But keep in mind that even if the Army covers your rent, you might have to watch out for utilities. The roughly $600 at the moment should cover all necessities, they even cover our DSL and phone costs here. But if you move into an old building, you might end up having to pay a lot for heating costs.
The closest places to look would be the city of Ansbach (even though you will have to deal with traffic every day then), Sachsen (3 min drive), Heilsbronn (8min), Bruckberg (5min, careful: no DSL available here in case you like having a decent internet connection), Wicklesgreuth (5min).
Housing is either hit-or-miss. All apartments are stairwell housing, but the ones on Bismark are old, while the main side's apartments are all renovated and fairly nice (own laundry room, nice flooring, balcony). My wife and I are moving to Ansbach, need help with finding/advice on housing?
be forewarned--the military might prevent you from living off post if there are quarters available. also there may be some problems with school transportation off post.
the quarters are pretty much standard across germany depending on what rank you are. they are for the most part very nice and comfortable.

The timing with your brother in law's pregnancy sucks, but you shouldn't let it change what you were planning on doing.
The simple way of starting up the conversation is to say 'I would like to start trying for a baby, what do you think of this?' If he says 'you just want a baby because they have one.' simply say that you were already thinking of this before they announced their pregnancy.
And if you can't have a conversation that starts off like that with your partner, then maybe you two aren't ready to make a baby.
well i agree with the other answers but also suggest how great it will be because if you have a baby by the time the brother in laws child and your child are at the ages of like 6 and 7 etc they will be able to become play mates also you might be able to help each other out you can baby sit for them and they can baby sit for you
Hi,
I think if I were in your position I would still try. Think of how close the little ones will be if they are growing up together.
Good luck xxx

Whats the best advice you got to help you out during breastfeeding?
Im going to breastfeed my third child and I really dont want to stop early like I did with my first 2 because of reasons like. (milk supply deminished and painful bleeding)
Im looking for any and all of the best advices you all got or have!!! Thanks, KellyWhats the best advice you got to help you out during breastfeeding?
It seems like you already got a lot of advice from everyone. Once you start breastfeeding, you can ask form more specific advice according to your needs.
The only thing I have to say is, if you really want to do this, don't give up no matter what.
Educate yourself, eat healthy, drink plenty of water, drink red raspberry leaf tea, carrot juice, take fenugreek and blessed thistle capsules, nurse on demand, keep baby close to you... All of these are things that 'll help you. But the one thing that helped me the most, was my determination to keep going. Formula was not an option. I took it day by day, and thanked God for every day I could nurse. For me it wasn't easy, and I heard over and over from friends and loved ones, to just give up. Luckily I didn't .
You can do this if you really want. Hopefully breastfeeding will be a breeze for you, and you won't ever have to ask a single question at y/a!! But even if it's not, whatever the obstacle is, you can overcome it. You 'll get your strength by watching your baby grow to be healthy and beautiful.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Congratulations!!! Have a wonderful experience nursing!Whats the best advice you got to help you out during breastfeeding?
Hmmm. I had a bunch of helpful info my first time around.
It's ok for the baby to be on the breast pretty much 24/7 for the first few weeks. Feeding on demand is key to establishing a great supply early on. Your milk can take 4-5 days to come in, AND THAT'S NORMAL.
Newborns have tiny tummies, just because the baby seems to be eating all the time does NOT mean you have a supply problem. Count the wet diapers rather than watch the clock to see if the baby is eating enough...
Use Lansinoh after every feeding the first 2 weeks. Use it two weeks before your due date 3 times a day.
If your baby is large enough, and you're not too large for it to be uncomfortable, learn how to do the sidelying nursing positions so that you can sleep while the baby sleeps. This was HUGELY helpful. Safe cosleeping guidelines are available at www.askdrsears.com There are some instances where it should be avoided and the link below provides specific advice.
Stay hydrated and fed. Stash bottles of water everywhere you might nurse and keep sandwich baggies of high protein snacks anywhere you might be nursing before you bring the baby home and make sure they get restocked each day.
I think those are the biggies that got me through the early days and will hopefully get me through them with the next baby due in 2 weeks. Best wishes to you on your third baby!
You know, Yahoo! was the only place i got positive advice. Everyone else told me to 'give myself a break'. Ugh.
The only thing I could do was too suck it up and push myself through the hard times. They did get better, I swear. Every little hurdle gets smaller, every feed makes it a tad easier :)
Goodluck mama
The best advice was take your baby to bed with you and nurse. I got the rest I needed to relax and stop worrying about my milk supply and baby got lots of access to the breast. When I spent a few days doing nothing but nursing, my milk supply finally started to increase and my baby was able to go longer between feedings. Also, the skin contact is good for babies. It helps them remember how to suck properly. It sounds like hocus-pocus, but I swear it works!
I was told to nurse frequently %26amp; pump when I can't nurse to keep my supply up. I was also told to try some of the homeopathic ways of increasing milk supply like Nursing Mother Tea by YOgi Tea Company.
Good Luck!
When I got mastitis for the 2nd time %26amp; was feeling down about breastfeeding, my OBGYN was encouraging. She said to set short-term goals for myself for breastfeeding %26amp; that even though breastfeeding was great for my baby, formula feeding was really good too. She said that in the US, we are really lucky to also have good formula and that formula fed babies are really healthy too! I went on to breastfeed my baby for 12 months--each week that I perservered with breastfeeding made it so much easier %26amp; I was really proud of myself for continuing. There are a lot of hurdles for some women when they are breastfeeding, but you can overcome them %26amp; be very successful at it. Be proud of yourself for even breastfeeding for a day! Best wishes!
Kelly,
Congrats on your third! I have three and it is really much easier than I thought it would be. That is after the first few weeks that are always tough.
You have already gotten some great advice from others and I would just add to get a nice sling for baby. I didn't have one until my third and didn't know what I was missing.. I can actually walk around the mall and nurse her in the sling and now one even knows. It is great when you already have other kids!
Also just remember that breastmilk is based on supply vs demand so put the baby to the breast on demand and yes sometimes it will feel like it is 24/7 but just until your supply is built up or they go through a growth spurt.
Best of luck!
Don't give any bottles or pacifiers in the first 3 weeks! It can cause nipple confusion and latch on problems. Nurse baby on demand. You supply will adjust and meet the needs of your baby. Take it easy for at least the first month and forget about housework and everything else. Rest and nurse! Let someone help you with the other kids and the chores!
Go to La Leche League meetings! It's great to have the support and you can get pointers. Or at least contact them if you have ANY problems with sore nipples, latch on, etc.
I wish I had studied up on it a lot more I didn't think it would be so difficult I really assumed it would be so easy and now I see that it is hard but worth it I didn't get a whole lot of good advice until I started having trouble but I'm still at it 10 weeks later and it is finally getting easier!!!!!!
i used lotion that the hospital gave me and when i wasnt breast feeding i used a warm wash cloth to help the milk flow more easily also try long hot showers with the water running onto your breasts this helped me get more milk in and also make it that they didnt hurt as much the doctors told me that this was the easiest way
I had the same problem when breastfeeding my first 2 (diminishing milk supply, not enought time to devote to it). So, naturally I thought things would be the same the third time around. But first off, remember that you are pretty much a professionaly when it comes to breastfeeding this time. And just approach it with that confidence and it will probably go much better. I am currently nursing our third child and I just went into it with a headstrong attitude. Just tell yourself that you know what to expect and be prepared for it (get some pure lanolin ointment for the soreness, it helped sooo much) and just do what you can. Just the fact that you want to do this for your child while 2 other ones run around the room says a lot about what you will do for your children. Good luck
The best advice was from a lactation consultant in my midwife's office. She said that pacifiers and bottles should be avoided until breastfeeding has been well-established because they can really interfere with the baby learning how to suck properly and get milk from a breast.
So... no pacis or bottles for at least 3-4 weeks was what I was told. And it was great because my son never really got hooked on pacifiers! He would suck on one every once in a while when he was a couple months old... but we didn't have to deal with them much and didn't have to deal with binky weaning... which can be a PAIN!
Congratulations and best wishes.!
The best advice I received (and this is so true) is to make sure that your baby latches on correctly the first time. Don't think you will work on the latch later. It's too difficult to correct after your baby has gotten used to latching on improperly. Get help in the hospital immediately if you have ANY questions as to if it's the correct latch or not. I thought my baby was latching on right the first couple of days but she wasn't and it was causing pain and I was bleeding. The lactation specialist corrected me and we had to spend about a week correcting the baby. Good luck.
Hon, I got great advice from a message board.
The best advice I got was about cluster feeding and grwoth spurts.
Babies have growth spurts around 3 days, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months... Baby will nurse alot during them. It is their way of boosting your milk supply for their growing needs.
Also, don't time feedings. Let beby nurse as long as she/he wants at each breast. If baby falls asleep at the first one, Just use the other at the next feeding. You don't always have to use both. Baby may also prefer one breast over the other. That is also normal.
make sure first that you rotate each breast between feeds so your baby gets the milk from both, this way it helps against mastitis which hurts a lot. I also used nipple sheilds which help by collecting milk that leaks that can be embarrasing. Also if your boobs get hot use big cabbage leaves in your bra that have been in the fridge for a while to cool them down, it is cheaper than the cool packs you can get and feels better. If ypu express milk use an avent hand pump, ive tried loads and they are by far the best around, quick and simple. I also got told that after a feed rub a bit of your milk into your nipple as this prevents soreness and it works! Good luck.
I have some advice for you. Women are to be seen and not heard. Quit your bitchin' and get back to the kitchen. You're cruisin' for a bruisin' baby.

wow your ambicious, first you have to get a domain, or you could go to these websites which offer website creating tools. i recommend SBI because it gives you all this tools and tips of how to make a passive life time income form your website, and theres websitewizard which gives you the tools but you have to pay monthly for their services. Good luck
try aeyweb.com for hosting first because good price and very use full for starters and don't forget to get your free domain name

Building interactive websites take lots of work, and experience. Start out slow with learning HTML (and CSS), then maybe graduate to ASP or PHP.
I'm not sure how difficult flash is to learn, but I know making games isn't something a beginner can just jump into.
Learning html is pretty easy, you can often right click a website and view its source to see how it works (if it's in HTML)female mask

For agnostic/atheist parents, if you ask for advice or help w/your child?
Does it ever irk you when people say ';I'll pray for you'; or ';I'll keep you in my prayers';?
Seriously, what type of advice is that?
Does it really help you in the least? For agnostic/atheist parents, if you ask for advice or help w/your child?
If you don't believe in prayer then what can it hurt if someone offers to pray for you?
I think it's a nice gesture (I used to be agnostic).
Sometimes prayer is the best solution when you can't give any personal experience answers. I try my best to give solutions to parenting issues, but I have yet to have anyone (atheist/agnostic or otherwise) turn up their nose at me because I offer to pray for them or at least send them ';good thoughts';.For agnostic/atheist parents, if you ask for advice or help w/your child?
no, it doesn't irk me. it is someone conveying their best wishes in a way that is meaningful to them, and i take it in the spirit in which it is given. i doubt that the prayers help me, but the expression of support still makes me feel better.
the occasional ';i'll pray for you'; meant to convey that the person saying it thinks i'm going straight to hell, on the other hand, i also take in the spirit in which it is said and don't particularly appreciate.
As long as the ';I'll pray for you'; doesn't extend to ';I'll pray for you to come to realize how much Jesus loves you,'; and the like, it doesn't bother me.
That goes beyond caring and doing something they believe will help me (even if it won't). That goes to the extent of pushing their beliefs on me and telling me in a roundabout way that the way I live my life is wrong.
As a standalone sentiment, there is nothing more wrong with this than telling someone ';I hope you get through your troubled times.'; Your hope itself isn't going to do anything, but it is comforting to know that somebody cares. Your prayers won't do anything, but it's comforting to know that somebody cares.
No and you could be a little nicer to someone who has your best interest in mind. They are being nice and wishing you well. Its not advice. Its just someone who uses religion to express a caring thought. Just because you don't have a belief doesn't mean that no one else should. And just because someone of a certain religion wishes you well or says a prayer for you doesn't mean they expect you to be Christian. Perhaps that person assumed that you were. Most people in certain communities tend to have the same religions. Some don't.
But its kind of disrespectful to think that someone couldn't wish you well because they are of a certain religion. At least they thought of you at all. And at least there was someone willing to think of you when you needed them to. It shouldn't matter if it was a prayer or a wish or anything. All that should matter is that someone cared enough for you to think about you. I am not Jewish but I would be grateful to have someone went to the tabernacle and lit a candle or whatever they do. You sound like a pretty uncaring person. Religion or not. Your Grandmother must be proud.
As for George, well, shoving religion down someones throat isn't the way to go anyway. I have strayed away from my religion because of bible beating people. That and science makes more sense to me sometimes. But spread your word if you must and then walk away. No one wants to be part of something that includes people screaming in your face.
When it comes to questions on here, kind of. It feels as if they are just trying to find a polite way to say I haven't the foggiest idea as to how to help you but thanks for the 2 pts all the same.
Honestly, if I wanted someone to ';pray'; for me, I would ask for that, if I am asking how on earth do I take care of this school bully an '; No clue, but you and yours will be in my prayers'; can be, although I am sure not all intend it this way, quite counter productive.
I actually went through this while my son was being bullied not only by classmates but his sperm donor as well, and as kind as I am sure their intentions were, they were not helping and in the end made me feel even more helpless to protect my son.
As a Christian, I just wanted to say that parenting is so much nicer than R%26amp;S because of people like all of you.
When someone offers prayers, theyre just practicing their beliefs, and you should look at it as if someone called you on the phone and said ';I like you. I wish you the best.';
And BoSox, so Funny!! I'll do the Hokey Pokey for you. I HAVE to remember that ! : )
(If you said to me ';Im not a believer'; ,I might say ';then how about a box of chocolates!';.)
Wouldn't it be more ';irking'; if they replied ';oh, that's sucks! Good luck!';?
Personally, I like to think that if someone says that to me in my time of need, and if their willing to spare a moment or two, to pray for my well being and comfort ... to help me in the way that person knows best, they obviously genuinely care for me .... don't think of ';I'll pray for you'; to be a condescending thing to say. That is irking (when people don't appreciate others and their beliefs.)
i'm atheist
i get god bless you all the time from people
ive even had christians try to convert me
really i don't take any offense to it
everyone has their own beliefs and for me to bash them because that is what they believe would be wrong
everyone shows love and caring towards others in different ways
i think it is more of a kindness rather than them trying to inflict their beliefs onto anyone
actualy i would like to add to the george comment
there is no actual proof that any religous act was deemed by god...i honestly have gone to private baptist school all my life and have studied the bible back and forth the bible is a story told by man not written by ';god'; and just because you dont believe in god doesnt make you a horrible person
you have no right to enforce you veiws onto anyone as i'm sure you would not apprieciate some one jumping down your throat on your religious beliefs
it even is stated in the bible that church is a sin god says do not worship me in one house as i am with you everywhere
the bible is mearly a guide to kindness and how people should be toward others it is a book nothing more than a book and no book will decide a persons fate
Why would it irk me? I'm accepting of pretty much all religions. It's not the advice I asked for, but it wouldn't bother me. If someone wants to pray/light a candle/dance around in circles while lighting incense and singing The Hokey Pokey for me, I don't mind as long as they have good intentions.
For me personally, I don't get offended by it.
I see it as them doing what they think is good. It's what they believe. It doesn't mean that you have to believe. I don't really believe in a lot of things as far as religions are concerned, but the ';power'; of kindness goes a long way.
It's just a nice gesture, nothing more, nothing less.
For the record, I always tell people ';My thoughts are with you.'; or ';You'll be in my thoughts.'; Does that mean I'm helping them? Not really, but it lets them know I support them and will be thinking about them. :)
Im an atheist and i will raise my kids christian, I dont believe in god and i have extream confidence religion is not real. I just want my children to live like most other kids and to feel like they are being watched over and protected even when they are not. If you look at it its just like lieing about santa claus.
It's like saying ';I'm thinking of you'; and you shrug it off because you don't believe in that? What do you want them to do? Start an awareness group and raise money for you?
There's nothing they really can do, it's just people reaching out their hearts in the only way they can. Don't be a jerk.
I'm athiest, if people were to say they will pray for me during a difficult time in my life, I would appreciate it.
Even if they don't actually pray, they are offering words of support which is always nice to hear.
Doesn't irk me in the slightest.
Im not irritated by it at all, i see it as a compliment, and I'm a pretty strong Atheist, it's just a placebo effect, it doesn't actually do ANYTHING, you just think it might so it makes you feel better... basically.
I smile and say thankyou because I know they love me and are thinking about me. Being the religion that I am, I know that there is not just ONE right religion.
no,it doesn't bother me. i realize that it's out of kindness. if they can't help at least they are thinking of me, right?
not really, we both come from very religious families but we are not very religious but when family and friends say it it doesnt bother us much. we are religious just not as much as them or as hard core.
I just smile and say ';thank you'; since they obviously don't have any useful help or ideas
Naw, I just think of them like I think of children who still believe in Santa.
They just don't know any better.
They're just being nice.
No reason to complain about it.
il pray for you, hope you learn some tolerance.
just knod and smile...and get away quickly before they begin quoting scripture at you
no but ill be nice
No, not really, unless it's said with a hint of sarcasm which I've seen before. Of course I'd prefer it if they give me a helpful answer as well (and if they do, I certainly have no problem if they add ';I'll pray for you'; on the end) - but if they don't then I presume they couldn't think of any constructive advice and a prayer is better than nothing, it's a kind thought if they actually DO pray for you. Just because I'm agnostic doesn't mean I don't appreciate people trying to help, and that is simply their way.
Now on the other hand, answers like GEORGE'S do irk me a lot! Marriage is practiced by all faiths and those of no faith at all, firstly! And people like him need to realise that it's people like THAT which turn so many people away from Christianity!! Some agnostics are very curious and interested and open minded, I'm one of them, but when I see judgemental Bible bashing bollocks like that it sends me running a mile. *clap clap clap*
I'm not irritated by it, but I find it insincere, personally. I tend to just roll my eyes and give as heartfelt of a thanks as I can muster.
I'm sure they intend it to be nice, but it doesn't help a damn thing. I would be much more thankful and feel much better about the person if they even offered some kind of earthly comfort, like ';if you need someone to talk to, I'm here'; (assuming they'd follow through), rather than essentially telling me, ';not my problem, but I'm hoping the invisible man in the sky magically fixes it for you.';
GOD IS GOOD. America's going downhill pretty quick. Don't you think there may be a connection with the rising number of atheists? Not ramming anything down your throat. That wouldn't be the christian thing to do, but just find a preacher and at least let him try to explain how God is real. If nothing else, maybe it will teach you more about another ';religion';. In the meantime, I WILL pray for you. Not to insult you, but because as a christian, I worry about you without even knowing you.
depends on the person.. if they're arrogant or rude or condescending about it i'll tell them i belong to the church of satan (i dont) or tell them straight up i don't believe in god. or that passively waiting for ';god'; to help isn't going to do much.
when my mother says it... just a sarcastic ';thankyou';
prayer and belief in jesus is the ONLY way to be saved. athiest parents should repent for the sake of their children or not have children at all. children are for MARRIED people and marrage is a CHRISTIAN TRADITION
When someone offers prayers, theyre just practicing their beliefs, and you should look at it as if someone called you on the phone and said ';I like you. I wish you the best.';

Tooth extraction, really scared help please! Any advice ot experiences or anything?
I soon have to get my left canine tooth ( also called cuspid and eye tooth ) and its a baby tooth and i have to get it removed because it is not letting the adult tooth come in. Im just scared of how much it will hurt because it already hurts because i can always feel when the adult tooth is pushing agaisnt it so i cant imagine pulling it out so please share any adivce or experiences?Tooth extraction, really scared help please! Any advice ot experiences or anything?
Your tooth hurts because the adult tooth is trying to push it out of the way. Getting it pulled out will relieve that pressure, and the pain should quickly go away.
A baby tooth has a much smaller root than a permanent tooth, so it should pop out quite easily. You won't feel any pain because the area will be frozen. Some dentists have the silly idea that a baby tooth it doesn't need freezing. As the patient, you have the right to insist that it be well frozen before your dentist starts any work.
Your dentist can rub a tiny bit of topical anesthetic gel onto the gum, to numb it a little before injecting the Novocaine. It helps, but you may still feel a little pain when the needle goes in. But this will be the only pain you'll feel.
Your dentist will use small pliers to grip the tooth, in order to work it loose from the bone. You'll feel a bit of pressure, as the dentist rocks %26amp; twists the tooth, and you'll hear some cracking. It sounds really freaky, but it's just noise. Listening to music on an MP3 player, %26amp; closing your eyes will help take your mind off it.
Afterwards, your dentist will have you bite down on gauze, to stop the bleeding. You should take a couple of ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, or generic) before you leave the dentist's office. That way, it'll already be working when the freezing wears off. Ibuprofen is the best painkiller for dental pain, because it reduces the swelling, and that swelling is what causes the pain---though since it's only a baby eye tooth, it shouldn't be too bad. If you need to, take another ibuprofen every few hours, to keep on top of the pain. You should also use an ice pack on your cheek, and eat smooth ice cream, to reduce the swelling.
Any pain %26amp; swelling will reach their peak on the 3rd day, and will gradually decrease after that. During the first few days, eat only soft foods that are cold, cool, or warm. Avoid hard or hot foods, since your mouth will be very tender, and you don't want to carve it up or burn it.
Do not smoke, spit, or use a straw until at least the 4th day. If you do, you'll create suction, which could suck the clot out of the extraction site, and greatly impair the healing process.
For the next week or so, don't work out or exert yourself. If you do, you'll increase blood flow, which will add to the swelling.
Getting that tooth out should be very quick and easy. If you have any questions or concerns, discuss them with your dentist before he starts. And don't forget to bring your MP3 player. It really does help!Tooth extraction, really scared help please! Any advice ot experiences or anything?
The needle for the anesthesia is probably the worst part, and it doesn't really hurt that much. It's a trade off - you have to endure a quick, stabbing pain so that you can get rid of a sore, throbbing pain.
Your dentist should walk you through the procedure as he or she is doing it. Once you're under anaesthetic, you literally won't feel a thing, probably for the rest of the day and night. When you wake up the next morning, you might find that the area is sore, but over time it will start to feel better and better every day until there's no more pain. And that will be worth it.
pulling out baby tooth does not pain at all and there is no discomfort afterwards. the only pain you feel is the prick of the needle. for more informatin on children dentistry you can visit the following link

I have had four wisdom teeth removed and it is simple and they usually put you to sleep for this work to be done if you ask them to they will for sure my mother is a pediatric dentist and i have experience myself you will feel fine during and after
The worst part will prob. be the needle to kill the pain once its numb you shouldn't feel anything. Although the sound can make some people a little stressed. and it might bleed for a short time
It will NOT hurt while they pull it. you will be sore afterwards. but u will be given pain meds afterwards.

Illiotibial band syndrome? From soccer, my right knee is killing me, any advice or help?
My right leg is my dominant one, but i must have worn it out and streched something. Has anyone else had a problem, the pain is around the knee.Illiotibial band syndrome? From soccer, my right knee is killing me, any advice or help?
Another common athletic injury to the tendons of the knee is a strained iliotibial band. This causes pain on the outside of the knee just below the joint line. It is caused by strong exertion of the muscle during the sport or during training.
Specifically the iliotibial band rubs anteriorly and posteriorly over the lateral femoral condyle during running. Running, in particular, causes pain to this area located on the lateral (outside) of the knee joint. It is temporarily relieved by resting and can be relieved permanently with Prolotherapy!
The iliotibial band is a thick band of tissue that extends from the lateral thigh down over the knee. It functions to control the amount of hip adduction and minimize the rotational forces experienced at the hip and knee. Since female runners demonstrate a greater hip adduction and internal rotation angle while running than male counterparts, they are more likely to develop iliotibial band friction syndrome.
The symptoms include severe excruciating pain in the lateral knee which make running very difficult. Sometimes there is a grating sound where the ilitibial band rubs over the femur.
The mainstay treatment for Iliotibial band syndrome are anti-inflammatories, rest, and stretching of the iliotibial band. Typically this approach decreases symptoms and some athletes even get back to running, but generally the conditions continues to recur, why is that? The answer is easy, the attachment of the iliotibial band to the tibia is weak. So it keeps giving out.
What athletes want are muscles, ligaments and tendons that are strong and the proper length. Clearly if a muscle is tight, especially compared to the 'non-injured' side, then it needs to be stretched. Having the athlete rest and then giving anti-inflammatory medications and cortisone shots to areas like the iliotibial band just make them weaker. They may give initial pain relief but in the end the athlete's tissue is weaker and the injury keeps recurring or never goes away. There is a better way.
Since the iliotibial band goes from the hip area across the knee area it traverses two joints. If either of these two joints is weakened or has ligament laxity the tibia and/or femur will move too much. This will put extra stress on the iliotibial band. So some athletes with iliotibial band syndrome need Prolotherapy into and around their knee and their hips. If the hip is fine then an athlete with iliotibial band syndrome will get Prolotherapy to the area on the tibia where the iliotibial band attaches. If their are other parts of the iliotibial band that are tender on the athlete besides the attachment then these areas are treated by Neural Therapy to increase circulation to the area. Typically 3-6 visits of Prolotherapy are needed. The treatments can be done weekly. Generally after two treatments the athlete starts working out again.
For the athlete with chronic lateral knee pain, an evaluation by a Prolotherapist is warranted. We have treated many cases of iliotibial band syndrome in athletes (mostly runners) successfully with Prolotherapy. Even the Dietitian, Marion Hauser, has suffered from this. She had Prolotherapy to the area a few times and was able to then continue her marathon training. Not only did she finish the marathon but beat her predicted time by over 30 minutes!Illiotibial band syndrome? From soccer, my right knee is killing me, any advice or help?
ITBS can also be caused by weak muscles, particularly the glutes and hip abductors, so try strengthening those muscles. I did that on top of the stretching and meds, and it helped my itbs problem tremendously!!!

Hey I need som advice can you help me out here?
I need advice on getting tattoos. I have been wanting to get one for the last two years but I have not decided on what I wanted yet. I mean Im 19 a female and I am open to just about anything.Hey I need som advice can you help me out here?
I didn't know what I wanted to get until about 5 minutes before sitting in the chair. I just walked in and looked through a book. I ended up getting my own sort of design- the same design twice, one backwards from the other, to form a ';broken wings'; effect above my chest. (It was a Celtic design put on its side, but I don't know its symbolism- just thought it was pretty).
Don't feel bad about not knowing what you want. The people at the tattoo parlor may even just let you come in, open the book and have a look through, then come back another day to get it done. But choose something individual that no one else has, if you can.
My other tattoo is on my back shoulder- it's a fairy, from the thighs up, with jewelry. I only had a certain amount of money on me that day so some of the jewelry had to not be tattooed on, in the end. But that means it's definitely uniquely mine that way.
Good luck!Hey I need som advice can you help me out here?
if u still havent desited maybe its not 2 b b-sides when u get old it will look like a bruse and it will look ugly :)
dreamcatcher.
my best advice is to wait until you for sure know what you want. I have 4 tats and each one i hung up on my wall so i could see it every time i woke up. after about 3 months if i still liked it i would get it...
try getting something meaningful to you

contact mellissa and ask her opinions. i know her and i have no tats, my hubby has a small one. she can give you info and advise.
well what do you like? if you like the night, then maybe a moon, or stars, or if you like other things, try and pick one of those.
i say get one that covers your whole body like a zebra.....those are cool.
(you said anything)
I would go with something small and simple. Not to exaggerating, it does not look to nice on females.
It really needs to be something that means something to you. Don't get one just to get one! Try designing one yourself.
Go to a tatoo place and see what they have or think of something you really like. most tatoo places can draw it just by youtelling them. Thats if they are a good one.
I was in ur shoe a few weeks ago, but i decided not, what i did was to see where the idea and the meaning behind it was. plus what i came up with frighten me........especial the part where it says some people skin type can have an alergic reaction to the ink use in doing a tatoo and even the needle used can have bad effects to your skin. so basically you have to make that decision on your own, ask yourself
Why am i interested in getting a tatoo?
Am i doing so because my other friends have ?
Am i ready to deal with the consequences that may result?
What about the aftermath of getting a tatoo, will i still like?
Do i really want a permanent symbol on my body?
What if my interest changes?
Do I really NEED a tatoo?
Think about it
All the best
get wings those are always cool and hot on a girl without being slutty
I got a memorial tattoo for my grandfather
but that is just me
You should think very long and hard about this. Tattoos are permanent. That means that they cannot be removed. You should be VERY sure that you REALLY, REALLY want one before you get one. If you are in a relationship, you should find out how the other person feels about your getting a tattoo before you go and get one. He may detest them. Tattoos are not cool or hip. If you want to change your appearance try something like getting a new hairstyle or lightening your hair or having your hair frosted or maybe trying a whole new shade. You should have any of this done by a professional. Also, if you are tired of the way that you look, consider the new styles in clothing. If you don't like them, create your own signature style by wearing clothes that look good on you. You might use a combination of things to create your own style. Stick with it until you find a look you like but please don't get a tattoo. You will be sorry in later years. Just think about this--suppose that you have found your dream job and are looking for Mr. Right. You find him at a party. He is attracted to you. You are wearing an evening gown with three-quarter length sleeves which happen to hide your tattoo. A few weeks later, he invites you and a friend of yours to come to the beach with him and a friend of his. You happily accept. All of you decide to go to the beach and soon everybody has changed into swim togs. You have a lightweight cover up on until you reach the beach because you have not put on sunscreen yet because your friend grabbed the sunscreen and wouldn't give it to you as a joke. She says that she'll give it to you so that you can put on some sunscreen at the beach and so you put on your lightweight coverup which happens to hide your tattoo. When you reach the beach, you ask Mr. Right if he would put some sun screen on your back for you. He says that he will so you remove your cover up and he sees your tattoo and he thinks it's ugly and he tells you that he won't be involved with you because he can't stop thinking about that ugly thing on your back and the other ugly thing on your arm. (You got two tattoos at two different occasions you thought that they were so cool) so you lose Mr. Right and all because you think that now you simply must have a tattoo because they're cool. They're not cool. They disfigure your body. They cannot be removed. I have heard (on TV) of people having tattoos surgically removed, but I do not know how successful this procedure is. There would be a scar certainly. The best thing would be not to disfigure yourself with a tattoo.

I need some advice and help on ab and tricep exercizes?
I need some help. I have done a bunch of exercizes to strengthen myself, but I have done the same ones so much that I am getting a little bored of them. If anyone knows some simple workouts on abs and triceps please tell me! also, make sure they don't envolve exersize equipment or weights. Thanks!!!!!I need some advice and help on ab and tricep exercizes?
You should get some weights if you are bored, there are about a million things you can do with thim that you can't do without them.
Abs:
inclined sit-up, raise your legs 12 to 24 in off the ground, keep them straight and do sit-ups or crunches as normal
Back extensions, lay down with your hands and legs to gether, arms straight out above your head. at the same time, lift both your hands and feet off the ground
Leg Lifts, lie on your back and lift both legs into the air making a 90 degree angle with your body. Keep your legs as straight as possible.
Scisors, lie on you back lift your legs about 6 inches off the ground, and briskly cross them with each other. Keep your legs as straight as possible.
Triceps:
Tricep Dips, hold on to the edge of a bench or chair with both hands, arms should be about at your sides. stick your legs out in front of you and keep them straight. lower your body as close to the ground as possible and bring yourself back up.
Push ups, I know you know of these, but you probably aren't doing them anyway.I need some advice and help on ab and tricep exercizes?

What is the best advice/help for depression?
i feel depressed and i dunt knw y??
can anyone help meh plz?
what could i do..What is the best advice/help for depression?
Stop smoking and drinking and hanging out with pretend friends that could care less about you. I don't know if that's true about you, but that's what you claimed when you answered this other girl's question. Let me remind you:
';im 14!! and listen i love my drink, love me fags but i dont take drugs! yeah ur doin a gud fing and a bad fing..lyk the way ur talkin u myte as el be a nun. like i started smokin when i was 13, im now at it a year im nearly 15, so that wil be 2 years! i dont care.. yes i would like 2 get of them but i cant!! and thats my mistake. but me and my friends love goin and out and gettn drunk, because people like you r complete goofs.. your like a nerd.. we dont wann abe stuck in books al da tyme. we wanna get ot and enjoy r lifes..';
If that answer was just made up, seek professional help because depression can not only ruin your life, but the lives of those around you. If you only feel depressed once and awhile, once a month, it could actually be normal. I'd say talk to your parents. What is the best advice/help for depression?
People can tell you all sorts of things on here, but the best advice is that you seek professional help sooner rather than later. See a doctor or counsellor. The main thing is to start talking to someone. Best of luck :)

I really want those mice please help I need advice?
I really want to get one or two mice. My woodshop teacher gives them away for free. My parents know that I will take care of them. They just don't like the smell. How can I help convince them. I already wrote like a page regarding the research I did on Mice and why I should get one. We also have a Tank thing that would be great for them. Please help i need advice :)I really want those mice please help I need advice?
well if he is giving them away 4 free there is most likely sumthing wrong with them i suggest you go to the store and buy baby 1s because they die fast.
tell them that youll do anything 4 them and you have to be responsible when you get older and say why not start now%26gt;?I really want those mice please help I need advice?
Yeah, mice do get stinky. Males more so than females because of scent glands. Besides cleaning out their cage often and washing everything in their cage when you clean it, it would be less stinky if you housed them in a cage instead of a tank, for better air circulation.
Make sure if you get them to not feed them through the bars of a cage if you get a cage. They more than likely will become food aggressive and will bite at anything, including your fingers.

Would you help me with advice on my career/school situation?
I am a 27 year old male. I have been working full time for a nonprofit making $30k a year for the last year(bvefore that I worked part time for the same org. making $9/hour) I am also half way to a bachelors degree in finance at a local university. During the past couple of years I have been going part time to school which has worked out pretty well. I am getting to the point now where I really want to finish my degree and go to school full time and get it over with! so I am considering quitting my job at the end of this year or going to a part time position(15-20 hours a week) again so I can give my all to finishing school. Financially, I have $28k saved up and my rent and billls are very low. I take loans out for tuition only. I also make a few hundred bucks a month selling on ebay on the side. What advice would you give me? I am a very smart person but in the past have made some bad choices when it comes to school work etc. What should I do? What is the right decision?Would you help me with advice on my career/school situation?
It sounds like you have set yourself up to be in a good position to go to full-time student status. If you're a good student (which it sounds like you are, considering you're working full time and have managed to get through half your degree) I would suggest keeping at least a part-time job. Going to school full time tends to change spending habits, frequently making you spend somewhat more than before.
That being said, I would suggest applying for work-study as part of your financial aid and getting a job on campus. Working on campus tends to lead to better grades and a more satisfying college experience because campus employers are usually a lot more flexible and understanding about the demands classes make on your time and attention. And you're on campus all day, which makes campus resources a lot more accessible as well as making it easier to get involved in campus life.Would you help me with advice on my career/school situation?
Become spiritual. Read good books. Enjoy life. Make some more friends. Take things one step at a time.

Any advice on how to help 11 year old adapt to new school in new area?
My 11 year old grandson is starting his new secondary school in September. He did three days preparation at school but all knew each other and he was left alone, even at lunch no one came to talk to him. He tried to talk to the other boys but was ignored. How can he be helped as he is nervous now of school. He has moved 133 miles from all his old school friends.Any advice on how to help 11 year old adapt to new school in new area?
Oh no your heart just breaks for them doesnt it, i would speak to one of the parents if that was possible.. i did this when i was in the same situation with my daugher.if they make their kids aware of his predicament.they will look out for him , he only needs to be accepted by one or two to fit in with the rest.. it worked for my girl. i also joined all the after school clubs this helps them bond and make their face familiar.. she is fine now after her struggle but you do have to step in and help. its not fine to say they will be ok, if they are not confident enough they need that wee bit of support .. i hope the wee soul is ok i really do sympathize.. its a tough life for our kiddies..and sore on us when you love them sooo much xxAny advice on how to help 11 year old adapt to new school in new area?
I work in Pastoral Support in a boys high school and just this week we have had a taster day and parent/child evening for our new intake in September. I had one boy in my house in this situation so I spent a little more time with him and his parents in the evening trying to reassure both.
The transition to secondary school does seem to be much harder for boys than girls but having said that you must take care not to let your fears transmit to him and become his fears. It will make settling in much harder for him.
In September, when he actually starts his new school over 90% of the boys will feel at least a little nervous, just like him. Even those who have come up with boys from their junior school will find themselves in forms groups or classes with people they do not know. None of them will know the teachers. In this situation they usually bond quite well because they are all feeling vulnerable and are 'open' to bonding.
Be supportive, ask him about his day but do not make a baby of him.
Good luck!
did he go to the primary school? or the secondary? When we visited comp. our primary school went and we all knew each other (obviously) but when we started at the comp there were new kids from different schools/areas.
Most kids are nervous especially about the transition to comp. Schools do a lot of tutor (registration) group activities and it is a good way for them to mix and get to know others. Encourage him to look at clubs that the school do - its easier to make friends when you, and the others are choosing these activities. They will be like minded people
I wouldnt automatically say get to know the 'neighbourhood' kids. At primary you are often friends with those who live near you. This changes a lot in comp and you separate into different groups, developing new friendships.
You have to let him try a nd sort this himself - dont be seen to be 'sorting' it for him - others will take the mickey out of him.
I hope it works for him. As parents (and grandparents) we often worry too much about our kids and want to protect them / help them / make them happy (obviously). Sometimes we have to stand back and let them work it out for themselves (its not easy).
I would suggest that he continue trying to talk to others and be open and friendly to anyone. It takes a while for new kids to come around, but if he joins in with people he will be 'accepted' much more quickly. I remember when new kids would start at my school, the best thing that they could do would be to join in a game of rugby or soccer. By the end of the game/lunch time, they would have been 'accepted' in to the boys group and be much more comfortable around everyone. The first few days will definitely be hard, but I really believe by the end of the week, he will be loving his new school!
See what his school has to offer in terms of activities - they may even have some info on the school website. If he's not into sports, there are other ways to be involved in school. Look into this and discuss with him what he'd like to do.
Hi, have a look at your local community centre, sports centre, library, etc, to see what kind of things they have on offer for kids of his age at the moment so he can start making new friends now. This might be less intimidating for him.
he needs to get involved with something like sports or any other activity that he enjoys he will make friends easiest in that way
If he has a special talent or is good at something, maybe there is an activity he can join to start off his way of making friends, or he could just ask some kids if they like samples of his work, or if it cant be physically seen, then he could ask any one if they are interested in the same thing or things. If he can start out with just one friend, then that will help alot, and then he can blossom from there with other kids. Good Luck To Him!
Website here that could help...

Lots of advice and information about moving schools among other things....
I personally say that he should just try and be himself and he will make new friends.
I moved to a different secondary school than all my other friends and had to start over from scratch... It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be after all the worrying and crying I did after leaving my friends behind. I made new ones, some of who I still talk to 4 years later, despite being moved to Spain a year after starting secondary school. And I had to start all over again.
I just suggest that he hangs in there and just carrys on as normal and he will make friends. The first few days are always difficult but afterwards you become friendly with people in your new classes. The boys on the preparation days probably just hung around together because they were also a bit nervous about everything. My advice is not to be something you're not as it makes things worse in the long run.
I hope everything turns out fine. I'm sure it probably will!
Good Luck!
Try not to worry, if he is a cool kid the other kids will come around. He should be polite and nice to everyone and not worry about the other kids much. Make sure he doesn't use a cell phone much they limit random chat with the people in the room with you. Have him ask the other kids questions or to borrow a pencil, people are honored to be asked. Have him join clubs or other things he is interested in and it doesn't need to be at school he will meet kids older and young that live nearby.
Go and talk to the school and the teacher who will be his form teacher next year. Explain your concerns and they will help you along. As a teacher I had a parent with similar concerns a few years back. On day one I mixed the whole class so everyone was sat with someone they didn't know. The class bonded in no time and the new student got on really well with the others.
Also get him to join as many clubs and activities as possible. This will help break the ice. Generally the kids in school are good and as long as your grandson makes an effort he will get along fine.
I am so sorry to hear about his situation. I had a hard time too when moving schools. It is very difficult to make new friends, especially when the kids aren't very forthcoming.
It might be an idea to have a word with his teachers and make them aware that he is nervous and he needs some assistance. Maybe they can get a responsible boy to befriend your grandson, and help to introduce him to the other boys.
But please don't let this lie if he is finding it hard to fit in. It is important he starts feeling comfortable and welcomed at the new school or his schoolwork will suffer and he will get more and more reluctant to go.
You sound like a great grandmother. I am sure he will be able to talk to you when things get difficult for him.
Good luck. xx
try to enroll him in afterschool programs or functions. are there kids around your neighborhood that go to his school ? befriend their parents and invite them over some time. you can also politely ask the teacher if he/she can embed more social activities within the lectures...though there are better options, i just cant think of any right now.
best of luck to you %26amp; your grandson!!
try to make as many friends as possible regardless of who they are or what they look like. Youll fit in well and be a popular kid.
Tell him to take up sports - things like football - it will get easier - i had this same problem at a similar age but it will be ok - itll work out - just let it happen and all will be well.
Final thing, dont go with him to school - drop him off somewhere close so he can go in on his own. I know this may sound bad but kids are embarrassed when parents or grandparents do this
Good luck
get him home schooling cause hes gonna get bullyed 98% of kids do get bullyed these days

Good Luck!
