I need advice from you, maybe you are or have been in my situation. What can I do to increase my chances of conceiving?
and if you have taken meds did metformin help? How long after taking it did you conceive?
Thank you very much for answering!I need tips, help, advice. I have been trying to conceive for 12 months now.?
Firstly, please ignore the previous poster and DO NOT BUY clomid over the net- it is an extremely powerful medication and should only ever be used under supervision of a doctor. Besides, you may not need clomid, as it will only help if you have an ovulation problem (which are responsible for only 50% of fermal fertility problems), and can damage your fertility rather than aid it if used incorrectly. It is also unregulated to buy medication off the 'net, and you may buy fake/ poor quality medication that could make you very ill. As you have been trying a year you need to see a doctor, with your partner, to have some tests to see if there is a problem, and if there is, what treatment is appropriate for you. 12 months isn't a hugely long time, but it is time to make the doctor's appointment now.I need tips, help, advice. Most women who have been TTC for a long period of time, don't have medical problems at all, but just don't know their cycles well enough to know when is the best time to get pregnant. Women are only fertile 2 days in a cycle! And if you happen to have longer cycles then you may only have a handful of chances to get pregnant in a year! If you miss those opportunities, then it may seem like you are unable to get pregnant, but in reality if you chart your cycles and learn exactly when you ovulate you can get pregnant right away!
You should read the book ';Taking Charge of Your Fertility'; and use the information to start charting your basal body temperature, cervical fluid, and cervical position, so that you know exactly when you ovulate, and your cycle length so that you know when to time sex and when you actually get pregnant. Based on your cervical fluid and position of your cervix you can know when you are about to ovulate and with your temperatures you can know when or if you've ovulated at all, and if your temperatures keep rising beyond the normal length of your luteal phase, then you're pregnant!
Buy the book! It's amazing!
Best of luck!
I don't think buying clomid is the answer because you need to see a GYN before you do that, You need to do all the right things but the 1st thing you need is patience, You can get a BBT thermometer and also chart your cervical mucus you can google all this info and they can inform you better then we can here i since we are all different i have had 2 miscarriages and i have been TTC for the past year also and now i am starting to read my BBT and my CM i was spectacle about this but know i think that this would work, If no luck with this then go see your GYN and have him give you Clomid or put you in a plant to conceive faster.
Good Luck Baby Dust....
Hopefully you and your partner have gotten or are getting a full evaluation from a doctor. That way they will pinpoint what the problem is and come up with a plan for you.
Good luck and baby dust!!!
I agree with Sophism. I might add that your husband should take cooler showers, and wear boxer shorts instead of briefs.
There are a few different ways to go on this.
1-you could start charting your temp with a basal body thermometer. This is a very inexpensive way to get even an Idea of you are ovulating.
2-If you have good insurance or can afford it I would consider having a Dr do a check on your fertility.(hormone levels, see if you have cysts etc)
I took metformin for 2 years and it didnt really help directly. My body did process the sugar better so I was actually able to loose weight...which helped my fertility. Metformin is not specifically a fertility med, its used for insulin resistance(major symptom of PCOS) and type 2 diabetes. Clomid on the other hand is a drug that pretty much forces ovulation, though I dont personally ever want to use it again it does work well for many ladies.
Good luck TTC
take clomid, u can buy it over the net
