On Lexapro for two days please help need advice?

I've been on lexapro for two days now. I take it at night with dinner but it makes me very sick and dizzy. So for the people that have taken it is this something that will go away after my body gets use to it? It also makes me zone out very badly. I do not want to keep taking it if this doesn't go away.On Lexapro for two days please help need advice?
Typically the side effects you are having will stop. Usually after several days they will either be gone or they will be less severe and, over day, completely go away. Some times they last for a month or more, sometimes they do not go away- but both are very rare. Two days is not long. You will have to give it some time. If it is extreme and is lasting more than a few more days then you should speak with your doctor. Often Benadryl (diphenhydramine), Dramamine (dimenhydrinate) Phenergan (promethazine) are taken to reduce some side effects. Xanax is often prescribed for any agitation or anxiety.





Let the drug start to work and let your body adapt. You can always get some Benadryl or Dramamine and see if it helps.
