The best thing to do is to be passionate with them and find help from you local goverment if you have not already done so I have a yahoo group were mums and dads can come and share there experiences and any helpful tips

if i were you, i'd be looking for some outside help, like you suggested. there are i believe also some special parenting classes that are designed to teach you some techniques that fir your child's learning style. what the classes will teach you, tho, is simple- you have to kinda try different things until you find the method that seems to articulate the info into terms he can understand. for example, some kids have a hard time digesting info by reading it. but if they hear it, they seem to assimilate the new info. or still yet, flash cards with the numerals on them are difficult for some kids to use with any results, but those same kids excel when flash card with the numerals depicted as object in the quantity specified in the latter case by numerals. just be inventive, and try a few things. good luck !
