On Lexapro for two days please help need advice?

I've been on lexapro for two days now. I take it at night with dinner but it makes me very sick and dizzy. So for the people that have taken it is this something that will go away after my body gets use to it? It also makes me zone out very badly. I do not want to keep taking it if this doesn't go away.On Lexapro for two days please help need advice?
Those are among the most common of side effects. I would give it a week or two for your body to get used to the medicine. Then consider a change if the side effects do not disappear or lessen. On Lexapro for two days please help need advice?
What you're probably experiencing are likely ';break-in side effects';. They typically last a couple weeks or so, then go away.

I wish you'd said what dose you're taking. If you're on 10 mg, there is a score on the pill to cut it in half. You might cut some of them in half, and take a half-pill for a couple weeks, to allow the Lexapro to more gradually break in. That should help a lot.
I'm on a different anti-depressant (paxil) and i found that most of the nastier side-effects went away at around a month if your taking it as prescribed. Are you sure your eating properly before you take the medication? Often taking meds on an empty stomach can cause nausea and whatnot. If its REALLY bad talk to the prescribing doctor but if you can tough it out try it for a month and see if the side-effects go away. If not than talk to your doctor.
