Some advice for help with my 10 month old?

She's just learned that she can pull herself up on stuff and now started climbing the cot rails... We lowered the cot so she cant fall out of course... so the top rail is in line with the forehead but she still pulls herself up it and plays games because its so cool she's learned this trick...

But how can i get her to learn that the cot shouldn't be climbed at bed time? Some advice for help with my 10 month old?
Same thing happened with us. What we did was sit in her room until she went to sleep. Everytime she stood up to do that we would lay her down. She would cry and scream but we jsut kept on doing it. The key is to not say anything and have patience. After 2 weeks of doing this she no longer even tries. Some advice for help with my 10 month old?
Unfortunately it's pretty hard to teach a child of that age that they shouldn't be doing something, especially if you're not in the room to constantly remind them.

When my 1st son started pulling himself up to standing we just let him do it in his cot at night. We had a week of him crying a few times cos he'd done it but couldn't work out how to lie down again but after that he just sorted himself out and once he was tired enough he would just go to sleep. We never had any real problems with it. As long as your daughter is safe (which you've done by lowering the base of the cot) then let her carry on.

Good luck.

my lil one did this at 8 months old. and for the first weeks everytime he would stand up, i would go in and lay him back down. well by the time i would get out of his room he was up again. so bedtime took hours and so did nap time. To him this was just a game. well finally i got smart and realized that that little baby was just playing me ans i was loosing lol so tried to see what would happend if i just laid him down and walked out. so i did this and shure enough he stood up in his bed. waiting for me to come lay him down but i never came back in, and i swear to you within 15 minutes he was a sleep. i could not bealive i had made such abig deal out of it when had i left him alone it would have never been a fight. He is almost 10 months old and now when i put him to bed he dont even bother trying to stand up. so i iwas you i would try to just lay the baby down and walk out of the room and give it like 10 minutes or so to see what happens.

Babys at this age realize that they can make things happen. Mommy puts me in bed, i stand up and cry, mommy comes back in and repeat. Letting him cry is not mean nor will it hurt him
