Seriously considering going vegetarian. I need some help and advice please.?

I am seriously considering going vegetarian.

I would really appreciate some advice.

Im looking for:

1) The pros and cons of making this change.

2) A list of any supplements I might need to take if I do go vegetarian.

3) Any tips and advice on making this change

*Also, personal experiences from current/ex vegetarians would be greatly appreciated.

Ill give the 10 points to whomever best answers these questions for me =)

Thank you!Seriously considering going vegetarian. I need some help and advice please.?
Great job for making a life long decision of becoming vegetarian..

1) Pros - never have had more energy, my skin completely cleared up, my nails and hair look better, lost weight in a healthy way, adds 7-10 years to normal life span, you are not killing innocent animals, helping reduce global warming (studies show slaughthouses put off tons of junk in the environment)

Cons - maybe occasionally cravings if you have ate meat before, vegetarian restaurants maybe harder to find or full service restaurants may not have lot of veggie items, pretty much that is all I can think of.

2) I have been vegetarian for years now and I have not had to take any kind of supplement. If you get the right amount of protein and vitamins you should be good...nothing a normally multi vitamin can't do.

3) Stick with it and don't listen to people if they are trying to put you down. You will have so much self gratitude knowing you haven't harmed any animals and that you are making a change in your life that will actually make a difference. Just research, research and more research. Ask other vegetarians any questions you may have.

I love being vegetarian and I could NEVER see myself eating meat ever again. Once I watched www.meetyourmeat.com I was completely hooked on making this change in my life. It's for the best and it's fun trying new recipes and going to new restaurants. Good luck!Seriously considering going vegetarian. I need some help and advice please.?
1) Basically, going vegetarian is a good thing. It reduces the risk of stuff like heart disease, some types of cancer, and cuts out a lot of fat from your diet. Cons may be that you have to work a little harder to get the right types of proteins and stuff, but it's not really bad.

2) I would suggest finding a multivitamen and if you're a girl, you might want to get iron supplements. Just make sure you're getting enough vitaman B12, iron, and protein.

3) Just keep with it; if you crave meat at first, it goes away pretty quickly.

I've been a vegetarian for about a year and a half, and it was a really good decision. I feel healthlier and I feel better about me not participating in killing of animals and it is better for the environment.

Basically the only bad thing about being a vegetarian is that meat-eaters give you crap. It might be just me (I go to a school with a good ag program) but they can be really rude and close-minded. You just have to ignore it and get used to it.

Good luck!!
