.We have been using a flea product that you use every month,
Has anyone used the Purina dog collars that claim to last for up to 5 months with success?Help with Advice on Flea collars for small dogs?
Never used one, but have heard that any fleas will just avoid the neck area and go to the base of the tail, I find Frontline is the best treatment for fleas, have used it for years and never had a flea problem.Help with Advice on Flea collars for small dogs?
i was always told flea collars don't work well using either advantage or frontline is your best bet.
Flea collars don't work. And some dogs have bad reactions to them, such as losing the fur around their neck. The only place for a flea collar is in the trash.
Stick with the monthly flea preventative application. (I use Frontline Plus and it works great.)
never used flea collars on any of my dogs (and i couldnt anyway as iv 2 greyhounds and the stuff they use in the collars can kill greys) anyways i use garlic on a daily basis and comb cider vinegar thru the fur and iv yet to c the lil buggars..get a clove of garlic snap in half, rub all over the dog, paying attention to the neck and base of tail , also putting say half a clove in theer meals will kill any infestion from the inside, or you can comb equal parts of cider vinegar and water thru the coat or put equal part in there water bowl,,its up to u but id steer clear from collars and the vet suff, why pay 17 quid for flea suff from the vet when garlic does the same for 68p and vinegar is a couple of quid (has to be cider vinegar tho )
