How do I help or advice my child?

He is 17 yrs old and doesn't likes to go out of home at all


except going to school or some usual work.


He has very few real life friends, also he is on the computer most of the time, Although he is brilliant in his subjects!





His dad swears him every night before him sleeping of which I too feel bad,


Please explain how things should go normal?


Does he needs a psychologist?How do I help or advice my child?
He is just in a shell sweetie, nothing more. He will grow out of it I promise. You should feel very blessed that your son is not running the streets.





As far as his friends go I think he has learned a lesson that sadly it takes some people their whole lives to learn. He understands that in life it is the quality not quantity of friends that count.





What do you mean he ';swears him?'; Do you mean cuss at him? Why would he do that? If he is cussing at the boy then maybe you need to talk to your husband. How do I help or advice my child?
I think eventually he will come out of his shell and start doing things on his own. I actually think you are very lucky to have him at home and not running around all the time. I have a 13 yr old cousin that just ran away from home. Why do you let his dad swear at him every night, That may be the cause also. Underlying emotional issues.
No what he needs is to have a father who loves him and does not swear at him on a daily basis. And a mother who would not only feel bad for him but stand up and fight for him and shut the fathers mouth. Maybe that is his whole problem.
The only thing I see wrong here is his dad swearing


at him. It sounds like the problem is with dad not son.


Better get at the bottom of dad's problem.
