I want to become a nurse any help or advice available?

Can anyone give me any advice or suggestions about becoming a nurse..I need all the help i can get to fire away with those answers..I want to become a nurse any help or advice available?
Many nursing programs are available through State Junior College programs, and are inexpensive. Entry level positions are abundant at this time, and growing in availability. The Graying of America, is going to make nursing and other medical programs more profitable in the future. If your interests lie in this direction, jump on the bandwagon now.I want to become a nurse any help or advice available?
Find a program and apply. It totally depends on where you live and what your lifestyle is like, are you willing to go full time or do you need to study part-time?

I just graduated with a BSN and I'm waiting to get licensed this month, hopefully. I'm happy to help you...
Get the uniform first and see if it suits you.

What is the best advice to help a arm after pitching besides icing it?

??????What is the best advice to help a arm after pitching besides icing it?
My best friend is a pitcher and she usually stretches a lot before pitching. In your case, its a bit late for that so i think you should get a sub pitcher for baseball/softball for a while and keep the ice coming. You could try using a hot compress or a tensor bandage. Tensors work wonders on my bad knee.

Take advil or tylenol for pain but otherwise keep it rested

Chesapeake is a large ';suburb'; of the Norfolk area, so the further away from the downtown area, the better for everything. Large parts of Chesapeake are fine. Here are some links for you to check out...

Does anyone have advice on how to help my 21 month old daughters constipation?

She has been constipated for a couple of days and I've tried just about everything but nothing helps. Any ideas or good suggestions??? Thanks!Does anyone have advice on how to help my 21 month old daughters constipation?
Prune juice helped my 17 month old. Also, try raisins if she'll eat them. Any additional fiber rich food will help. Try the natural way before any stimulants which can be very harsh on their little bellies! Hope she feels better soon!Does anyone have advice on how to help my 21 month old daughters constipation?
Stop allowing her to have so much dairy in one day..cheese, milk(she should only have about 24 oz in one day) can cause constipation.

Have you asked her pediatrician for advice? Normally they can prescribe some type of laxative safe for her age or enema.

Good luck!
yeap i agree with other answers ..try friut and drinks the fruity type ok .best of luck .
undiluted juices

light foods (no cheeses,breads,etc...)
apple juice, apples no cheese
Yeah, prunes and apple juice. My pediatrician told me once that the white and yellows could make the problem worse. Try for the greens. If all else fails you could try a suppository. I know that seems extreme. But it works and it's really not that terrible. Good luck. I know how bad it is to have a little one that needs to go and can't.
for a min i thought you said 21 year old..l.ol
LOTS OF WATER!! PEDIALITE, APPLES, PEARS, CARROTS, PEAS, BEANS......
I give my daughter a small cup of straight cranberry juice....it seems to work for her. Also I know that prune juice is suposed to work. Ive heard that if you can get a spoonful of oil down that it will make ya poop. I have never succeeded though. I got the oil to her mouth and she refused to take it. I hope you can get it for her. Maybe a warm bath to relax the muscles...if your potty trainin then there could be a whole nother problem
We had the same problem with our child and solved it by mixing prune juice with his drink (he seemed to like it in milk). It only took about 6 hours to take effect but it may be more or less for tour child.
Get some Gerber pear juice and give it to her. You can even mix it in with her milk. Good Luck!
Lots of Raisins and fresh fruit. She needs the fiber.
Have you tried prunes, lots of water, and fiber?

You should say what you have tried.

  • Have you any advice for me to help my Pomeranian with a collapsing trachea?

She's taking prednisone, hycodan and a phenobarb cocktail. I am not looking for more drugs as a solution.Have you any advice for me to help my Pomeranian with a collapsing trachea?
this happened to my aunts yorkie. try to keep it warm and comfortable. dont let it play too much or do anything that makes the dog breathe heavy. good luck i hope your dog starts to feel better.Have you any advice for me to help my Pomeranian with a collapsing trachea?
are you pulling too hard on her neck while leash walking. that might be the problem. I always reccomend a harness instead of a collar when leash walking.
Phenobarb is anti-seizure and prednisone is a steroid. I am not familiar with a collapsing trachea, but my dog recieved those drugs to treat her seizures and neurological disorder. Prednisone will cause your dog to gain weight. Phenobarb will rise to toxic levels over time. I would speak to your doctor about decreasing dosage over time, if possible, or switching to new meds so levels don't build too high.

What should I do? Things are really awkward, and I am in need of advice! Help, please?

Okay, so yesterday, my best friend (who's a guy) and I were hanging out at my house, and we made out. I just want to be friends with him, but that made things really awkward, and now I don't know what to do. How should I tell him that I just want to be friends without getting all mushy/awkward/CRAP?What should I do? Things are really awkward, and I am in need of advice! Help, please?
Tricky. You already know that communication is the only way to get through this. He might be thinking exactly the same thing.

So, doesn't matter how awkward it is, you have to sit down together and work it out. Start from the position that you don't want to harm your friendship.

Then you have to think about this: people don't make-out by accident. You know, you don't kind of slip over and then, oops, your lips are stuck together. And it takes two.

    Good luck.

I'm just about to confront my mom about wanting snakebites, any advice to help me convince her?

I have a long essay I wrote about getting them, saying im sure i want them, they're normal to get at my age, i wont regret it later, the price, etc..... any advice?I'm just about to confront my mom about wanting snakebites, any advice to help me convince her?
I actually think that's really good, you should also offer to pay for them, and to keep up with your grades.I'm just about to confront my mom about wanting snakebites, any advice to help me convince her?
you should show her the essay you wrote! =) mention that they are not permanent and when you get older or when you dont want them anymore you can always take them out, say how you can put a clear retainer in for when your not supposed to be wearing them. uhh, tell her that your gonna be responsible %26amp; make sure you wont get an infection by taking care of them and cleaning them while they heal. %26amp; tell her you will pay for them yourself

hmm, that's all i could think of, good luck!
Offer to pay for the snakebites yourself. If you truly want them, don't make your mother pay for something she probably doesn't want you to have. Check your bank account, saved up money, piggy banks...heck, look under the couch for pennies and other coins, and once you have enough money to pay for the snakebites, tell your mother that if she takes you to a piercing shop to get them, you will pay for the snakebites yourself. Good luck.

Advice to help someone stop smoking pot?

I want to help a 27 year old friend stop smoking marijuana. He says he wants to stop but it is hard for him. I try to encourage him to stop but I never know if I am being helpful. When I feel like he is acting strangely because he is high, I tell him. But is this just making him feel worse and therefore making him want to smoke? I would especially appreciate advice from someone who has quit smoking pot. What can I do (or not do) to help?

I cannot force him to go to re-hab since he is an adult; I've looked into it.

Thanks!Advice to help someone stop smoking pot?
I stopped smoking pot last summer. I am 29 years old and I was spending a lot of my money on weed. My parents hated my drug use, and those caring for my mental health discouraged me from abusing drugs. It took me a massive will of effort to stop. I even had to attend a few Narcotics Anonymous meetings to get into the spirit of staying clean of drugs. To this day, I get cravings for marijuana. Researchers have found marijuana to be nonaddictive but for me I must have an addictive disorder because I still get cravings to smoke it, I just ignore them. To get off weed I had to count the days I stayed off it and then the weeks. Eventually I lost count as the number was getting high but I think it was about two months before Labor Day that I quit. A couple of times I have ';fallen off the wagon'; but smoked only very small quantities and I have been able to quit again and pick up where I left off. I understand the psychoactive marijuana chemical THC gets stored in your body once you have been smoking it long enough and I think that is what has happened to me and why I get cravings. I think eventually the cravings will go away when my body fat has worked out the effects of the drugs. Maybe the impact on my emotions and psyche will subside as well. Narcotics Anonymous is different from rehabilitation. It is a 12-step recovery group and participation is a good way to find people with similar struggles in their lives. Support can make a world of difference.Advice to help someone stop smoking pot?
you have to want to do something to quit

like you want to lose weight and you might

like you want to quit smoking and you might

If someone tells you to lose weight or quit smoking you will just get upset and get mad.
It is hard to quit because so many people really enjoy their habits and they rely upon them in times of trouble. So often people try to quit dope or cigarettes and then they create such drama in their life that no one would question them returning to their habit. That is dangerous and less productive than just not quitting at all (often they smoke so much to compensate for the lost time that they actually wind up having smoked more for trying to quit).

For someone to quit they need to be determined to and committed to finding different things to do with their down time and different ways to deal with stress. If you want to help, I would think the most helpful thing to do would be to arrive just before they would have a smoke and invite them to participate in an activity they can't do while smoking - like taking a walk or whatever.

Herbal remedies like Kava Kava can be helpful to ease the crakiness of quitting pot - but if they are still hanging out with the smoking crowd or always smoke when they check their email, they are not likely to quit any time soon. Don't make him feel bad about it - when he is ready, he will quit.

    Peace!
Your friend is smoking pot because it gives him some form of relief from something in his life that is a stressor to him. A stressor is something that causes stress (like an abusive relationship or a bad self image). Everyone needs a break from these ';stressors'; and tries to find a way to relieve themselves.

There are destructive habits that we do to relieve stress and constructive habits. Destructive habits can hurt us like smoking pot, driving fast and binge eating. Constructive habits enrich our lives, making us better people like hobbies, religion, musical instruments and exercise.

You can not expect your friend to stop smoking pot without finding a replacement to relieve the stressors he is facing. He will not be able to do it, and its too much to ask of someone. He needs to find a constructive (and not destructive) way to be free of his stress.

Try to identify the stressor in his life (or there may be many). Once you identify it, talk about it with him. He may need someone to talk to about it. Then come up with a method for him to relieve that stressor. Maybe he could start a new exercise routine or work on a hobby. Have him work at least a half hour a day on that hobby. Exersize seems to work very well for men/boys who have been hooked on drugs, because exersize (jogging, lifting weights, running) releases a special chemical in our bodies called ';endorphins';. These endorphins can give us the same feeling of peace and happiness that pot give (except pot is destructive), so the ';high'; brings us to a new ';low';.

Whatever hobby he chooses to do has to be something that he enjoys, and that gives him a sense of release from stress. If he starts a hobby, and it doesn't work to relieve the stress, move on to another hobby, until he finds something that is constructive and helps him to stop thinking about pot.

If he messes up, and smokes pot, don't make him feel guilty. Tell him not to feel guilty... to just move on. Guilt is only another stressor that will make him smoke more pot. Don't tell him this, but you have to understand that he will most likely mess up and smoke pot a few times before he quits for good. Be understanding, and dont criticize him. Be there for him.

If he really wants to quit, this info will help him greatly.

If he doesnt want to quit - I'm sorry to say this, but nothing you could ever do will make him quit. I've seen people on the verge of death and not ';want'; to quit smoking (cigarettes), so they let themselves die. If he doesn't want to quit, use your time more wisely and tell him that you can't bear to see what he is doing to himself - and can not be a friend to him. Tell him to call you for help when he really wants to quit. He will not quit until he hits rock bottom and thats a hard fall.
tell him that if he stops then he can have alot more money. he can use that money to go on a vacation or save it for a rainy day. he would have ALOT more money if he quits, or tell him to just ease up a bit. it would be better for his health.
If he really wants to stop then he will no matter how hard it is for him. There is nothing you can do. It is out of your control. It's the same with cigarettes.

Advice to help ease the loss of a dog?

Asking for advice on how to heal getting over the loss of a dog. This was my best little friend and it was not expected. I miss her so much. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Advice to help ease the loss of a dog?
    Hi there,

I am so sorry about your loss. There are plenty of things you can do to help honor your best friend's memory or to help remember her and the grand life you shared with her. Try to remember the great things about her life, not any regrets or bad memories that you might hold inside you. Spend as long as you need to mourning your pet, but eventually you need to start living your life again. Your dog wouldn't want you to be sad for her! Try to imagine her in front of you, wagging her tail and peering at you with her bright eyes. What would she say to you if she could talk? How would she want you to remember her?

To remember your pet, try to tell stories about her life. You could write them down or talk to a friend or family member about them. What was it like the first time she fetched that tennis ball? How do you think she felt the time when she ate Robert's book report? Reciting your best friend's life could help you remember and appreciate the life of your puppy even more.

Try talking to your dog, either silently or out loud. Tell her about your day, your mistakes, your hopes, your dreams, your wishes, your dinner last night. You could tell her about your doubts or your thoughts. Anything really. Try to imagine her still there with you, listening to your every word.

Maybe you could create a collage or a memory box of your dog. You could include her first collar, her favorite toy, the kind of bone she used to love to knew. You could hang it in your hall or bedroom or kitchen, somewhere where you would see it every day.

If you are a kind of person who likes journaling or writing, you could write an autobiography of your dog. You could tell it from your pet's perspective. For example: ';Today I met my new family.';. Try to think about what your dog would experience and feel in different points in her life. Describe them in your puppy's own journal.

You could give a donation to a good cause in her memory, such as to a no-kill animal shelter in your area. You could go to a local shelter and volunteer your time to help dogs just like yours that need homes and love.

You could put a plaque in your backyard with her name on it, or plant a garden in memory of your dog. If there was a particular tree your dog liked to lay under or a rock he liked to jump over, you could paint a sign to label this landmark, ';Chance's Rock';, or ';Lady's Tree';.

Try and think of what you are good at, or what you love to do. Use that to your advantage and think of something to do for your dog, to help remember her. Are you good at baking? Donate some dog biscuits you bake to the Humane Society! Knitting? Knit some dog sweaters for the dogs at the shelter? Good at drawing/painting? Take a trip to your local shelter and sketch or paint animals there! Donate them to the shelter to raise awareness of these animals that need homes.

I hope you find something that will help you remember and honor your beloved friend. Remember it's okay to miss your dog and be heartbroken, but one day, you're going to have to start living again. You don't have to forget your puppy, and you don't have to devote every second to thinking about her. Just remember that you can remember her life, and help other dogs that need homes by volunteering or raising money. Maybe down the road, if you ever fall in love with another dog, don't think about it as ';replacing'; your best friend, think about it as adding a new member to the family. You are not being unkind, unfair, or unloving to maybe one day adopt another dog. You are giving another dog love, which he probably needs terribly. So why not honor your lost puppy's memory by helping another dog out?

I wish you well through this difficult time.

AllygirlAdvice to help ease the loss of a dog?
I am sorry. It will take time to get over the loss of a friend. Just remind yourself that you have been a very good Mom to your dog and she had the best life when she was with you. Visit local shelters give even just half an hour of your time to play or walk the dogs, you'd be delighted to see how much more pets are craving for attention from people like you.
Many people say that they will never get another dog again because him/her will never be the same as the one they lost. They are right, no dog will ever be EXACTLY the same as the one they lost . . but,

this doesn't mean a person can't have a great relationship with another dog. Getting another puppy will light up your life and remind you of the joy you had with you lost companion.

and I'm very sorry about your loss

    r.i.p. ;(

also, don't see this new dog as a replacement . . more as a new chapter in you book. Keep a picture of your other dog on display.

    GOOD LUCK =)
Just cry it out. I lost my girl 3 months ago and I break down when I think about her or pass her favorite spot. I miss her so much, too. I tried to get a puppy but decided that it was the wrong timing. I would expect that puppy to be the dog I lost... like I could ever replace her... give it some time.

I did find that it helped me to get rid of everything. Donated everything to the Humane Society.
Try a grief support group in your area. You can find information from your animal hospital.Pets are very special and like people one cannot replace each other. When the time is right, you will know whether you want another pet or not. My prayers are with you.
Oh I'm so sorry,my heart goes out to you. I love animals and have 6 dogs. I lost my Baby One back in 98 and I had to take off work for 3 days. It's just heart breaking. Just try and think of all the good times you had with him/her. God Bless!!
I'm sorry for your loss, there isn't much you could do, perhaps go see a movie with a friend or get busy with something, the only thing that will heal it would be time.
Well, in Failure to Launch, Matthew McConaughey takes Sarah Jessica Parker to a paintball game. :)

When I lost my dog, I wrote about it, put my thoughts on paper. That helped a bit.
Try getting a replacement puppy! It worked for me!
eat some cookies make sure there not dog faced

It feels like my lower back out of whack. Any advice to help relieve the pain?

I don't know if it's my spine or my tailbone, but something's not right now there. I can't sit on hard surfaces without it hurting like mad above my butt. I have this urge to have someone pull my torso one way and someone else wrap their arms around my hips and pull the other way to stretch my back out. I have an apt. with my Dr. next week on Thursday, but that's a long time from now. Are there any exercises or stretches I can do to help this pain ease up?It feels like my lower back out of whack. Any advice to help relieve the pain?
    Several things repeatedly.

Always first do this..... Breathe deeply in thru nose and out thru mouth using only your stomach.

1.Lay on a hard surface on your back. Raise your legs up straight but don't lock your knees and lightly pull the back of your thighs or ankles which ever you can. Hold this position for at least 45 seconds.

Also while in this position.....If you can wiggle your rump. This is a type of self lower back massage.

    2. On your back lay with you knees to your side in fetal position and back flat on the floor. Fold your arms across in the opposite direction and alternate stretching out the lower back.

3.On your back place rt ankle on left knee, press on rt knee.

    4. On your back place feet flat on the floor close to your rear and tilt your pelvis up and hold then down and hold.

Keep deep breathing. When you are in pain, breathing becomes slow and shallow and it increases the painIt feels like my lower back out of whack. Any advice to help relieve the pain?
I use Tramadol for my lower back pain and it is the miracle drug! http://Medicinerx.net/tramadol鈥?/a> . Tramadol is available without a prescription at MedicineRx .Net. US Located and operated so order tramadol with confidence.

When it comes to bad back I'm a pro my spine is deteriorating and I know too well about the pain.It sound like you sciatica, which is a pinched nerve just below your lower back goes into your butt. Not much you can do for pain .Try laying on you stomach over you bed and pull with your feet and arms to try to stretch it out.If you have a golf club try swinging it to try and pull it out/also if you put yourself between 2 kitchen chairs /kneel on the floor between them with arms resting on the seats of the chairs and try to pull yourself up using your arms, this is great for stretching.See your Dr.get an xray and some tylenol 3's.
That sounds kinda like I did when I had a compressed L5. My right side musles spasmed so much that they actually drew my leg up a good inch and I walked funny...and it was VERY painful.

I went to a chiropractor and it worked for a little while, but when it flared up again a few months later, I went to physical therapy for 3 weeks and they gave me exercises that took the pressure off the disc.

In the meantime, I laid on a heating pad and ice pack (switching out every 15 minutes most of the time), took things really easy and ate Hydrocodone like candy until the worst wore off.
In your case ICE and ibuprofen are your best friend for now.Put ice on it for as long as you can and take a couple of aspirin with ibuprofen for pain.Do not put Heat on back. Then see a GOOD chiropractor.
    Yes.
A friend of mine went thru something very similar to what you're going thru. Her doctor told her to roll up a towel so you have something that resembles a tube. Then put it under your back as you lie on the floor and roll it up and down your spine. Also a totally hot bath and heating pad afterwards really helped me when i had my sciatic nerve act up. It's worth a try! Good luck to you.
When I had this problem my physical therapist put me on wet heat treatments. I had to heat a wet towel in the microwave and lie on my stomach with the towel on my back for 15 min every two hours. I found out that a dishtowel is much better than a bath towel lol. It does help temporarily, also try a warm bath before bed at least until you can get to the doctors. Whatever you do don't use dry heat, it will make it worse trust me.

Who can help me with advice on a career option?

Hi everyone, just needing to know if someone knows a great career for me that's relatively easy to get into. Im more in to artsy kind of things but i don't want to always be demanded for different ideas. Im also very interested in computers (which comes as a suprise to most people) more the photo editing, and im just starting to get into Lomography. Im thinking of doing some sort of Tafe course to help me, any ideas?? Im open to anything.Who can help me with advice on a career option?
your mom cn help or your dad ask a frieng or fanmily memberWho can help me with advice on a career option?
You could try doing a graphic design course as you like photo editing although I think getting into the industry is quite hard. You never know, though, you might start the TAFE course and meet someone who helps you get a great job and it won't be hard at all. I don't think you should give up on something you might like before even studying it in fear that it won't be easy to get into it. Just do your best, you'll find something!
you dont' have to plan it right now, since nothing turns out the way you plan it.

i suggest you take care of your core skills, with that i mean , you do all the courses you can take, and you like doing, and do works related to them, you will soon find something that you like doing, and which is profitable also.

try to start with a business that is more inclined towards residual income than a business which is dependent on you working.

I need advice/help with my budget. Any good advice that works.?

We are a young couple that just had a baby. Our monthly income is 1500.00 a month. Does anyone have good saving tips and a way to get out of the living paycheck to paycheck routine?I need advice/help with my budget. Any good advice that works.?
Start by taking note were every penny goes for at least a week. You'll be surprised at the little things that add up so fast. Going out to lunch, coffee, buying magazines, etc add up really fast.

You should be able to find consignment stores or second hand stores for baby clothes and some other baby necessities (just not crib or car seat. Those should be bought brand new due to safety reasons). Consignment stores are quite a bit nicer than second hand shops but are still quite cheap.

Or if you know any other mothers in your family, ask if you can borrow clothing. I know I've got a ton of stuff my daughter wore only a couple of times (or in some cases never because she just grew so fast) that's just sitting unused right now until we decide if we're having another.

In order to stop living month to month though you're going to have to start setting aside some of the money you're making into savings. Even if you can only find $50 to set aside, it's a start.

In a few more months once being a new mother becomes easier (and it will, even though there were days I didn't believe it!), you might want to consider offering to take care of other's kids. Even if you can just look after a kid for an afternoon a week, you can make some much needed extra income.I need advice/help with my budget. Any good advice that works.?
Babies grow out of things very quickly, so buy from charity shops. Items will be hardly used. Breastfeeding costs nothing, and is better for baby. Homecooked stews make easy meals at weaning time, cheaper than buying jars or cans of baby food, and better because you know exactly what the contents are.

1500 a month is 300 a week during those occasional months with 5 weeks. If you can budget for less than 300 and save the differencem it will soon add up. I can limit my spending to less than 100 a week, but I don't have a new baby or rent/mortgage to pay, and no credit card. If you have debt, do all you can to get rid of it faster. Have friens over instead of going out on the town. Bring sandwiches to work for lunch. Track where the money goes by keeping records, and see where it is being wasted and cut down. Make everything last just a bit longer before you buy replacements - you'd get several more days out of the toothpaste tube, for instance. This works for other things too. Defer haircuts for another week or two, wash it yourself. Or just let it grow.

I need help, advice on moving out of parents home?

i am wanting to move out of my home, i live with my parents, i have some numbers to call that have apartments for rent, i just need some pointers of what to say or what to ask when i call, do i ask for the price or what?I need help, advice on moving out of parents home?
In addition to all the great answers here already, try to do as much research as you can BEFORE you visit the apartments and talk to anyone... Much like buying a car!

Try to be aware of specials, comparable pricing, parking limitations, crime, etc. This way you can protect yourself as much as possible, because remember, after all is said and done, it's a business!

And try to see an actual apartment, if not the apartment you will rent. Some places have demo apartments that are much nicer than the actual units (An old friend and I got swindled like that once).

I hope this helps, good luck!I need help, advice on moving out of parents home?
    Ask to see it
I was in your position about two years ago. But I was moving in with my boyfriend, so I had someone to help me. You can call them and ask what is the rent per month, are utilities included, and what leases are available (month to month, 6 month, or 12 month). You can also ask them if they have any specials going right now. The first apartment I rented had a special that if you lease for 14 months, you get the first two months free, and they waive the security deposit. You can ask your friends and family for help also. And you can go to the different complexes so they can show you the apartment. You don't want to end up paying for something that you will be unhappy with.
first make up your own mind first and do you have a balance in the check book? yes ask price and what you get for it , what else is not included in the rent.
frst thing why you want to move out of parents home.live with them .is there space problem live in their heart .when all you live jointly you enjoy most you dont have to care of home they will take care of you and your belonging cause you will also take care of them .

and after all you want to mave visit the apartment ask the rent confirm rent and sorrounding must be good where you want to live .

god bless you have nice life
you can do research online--apartments.com, rent.com, stuff like that. You can also just go around to apartment complexes.
Go visit it and don't be afraid to ask questions! If it's a bigger apartment complex, asked some other tennants what they think...is the landlord fast on fixing leaky plumbing? When looking at the appartment, flush the toilet to see how strong the current is, just look to see everything has been very well maintained

I have Masturbation problems, I'm Kinda addicted to doing it and I want To Stop. Any advice or Help ?

I need help with my addiction towards Masturbation, I'm a 16 going on 17 year old teen and I want to stop looking at porn sites and ending up Masturbating. Any Help on this cruel Addiction ??? And does Masturbation take any effects on your body like your Looks and Height. Please Help ??I have Masturbation problems, I'm Kinda addicted to doing it and I want To Stop. Any advice or Help ?
You're a sicko. Get a girlfriendI have Masturbation problems, I'm Kinda addicted to doing it and I want To Stop. Any advice or Help ?
Get a boyfriend and hump his turd hole!

U have been misinformed. Masturbation doesn't have ANY bad side effects (except maybe a raw penis if u do it constantly).

My advice is to just keep on going the way u are. It can't hurt u, and it obiviously is pleasurable.

Also there is a good health issue to masturbation. It keeps your testicles clean of old semen. And it relaxes u too so u probably will sleep better after masturbating than if u didn't.
    for me i always think

the feeling of masturbation is good

and its great until you ***

    then its amazing but afterwords

what do you have to show for it

im trying to stop and ive gone three days without doing it

but its just your covered with *** everywhere

    and it was for nothing

it felt good for a little bit but thats it

you have to to know what your doing to yourself.

    its taking your manly hands

    and touching your manly penis

    kinda gay man on man

and i always try to distract myself

with txting or something interesting to do.
OK here is the thing. You really have to want to stop. It's a habit so it's going to take 22days to a month to get over it. Now it's all about self control, you have the urge... keep yourself busy(watch a movie, go outside, sit with your family, talk to friends, watch TV). After awhile it will go away. The first week is going to be pretty easy. The 2nd and 3rd week is going to be hard. But once your over that bump your pretty much home free. All you gotta do is last one more week. After that you won't feel like masturbating anymore. Just don't look at porn and you will be fine.
Bro there is nothing wrong with tossing off as much as you want. As long as you arent doing it at the dinner table or somewhere else weird, give it hell man. Sooner or later you will stop doing it so much. Hell, at one point I was seeing how many times I could get off in a 24 hour period. My record was 22 and I'll never try that again...

Either way, there isnt any harm done so enjoy it. It's your toy, wear it out if you can!
It doesn't have any effect on your body from what I've read. If you get the urge try doing something physical. Like take a walk. That's what I do. But mostly I think its normal to masturbate a lot at that age. I know I did.
no the thing to remember is that it will effect your sperm count so yes you should cut down, it is all psychological, and you are the only one that can stop masturbating
    try this

beat it,wait a day then beat it, then wait two days then beat it, then wait three days then beat it,Etc.

just try it out. . . i went to 41 days
porn is a problem spanking the monkey is normal
I would suggest keeping busy with other tasks.

Help and Advice Needed for Rhodesion Ridgeback who has severe epilepsey?

My sisters dog has epilpsey and it is getting worse although it is on medication. She is very distressed and upset as today he has had 2 fits and was in them for over 5minutes each time.the medication he is on is EPIPHEN 60MG TWICE A DAY.

IS THERE ANYTHING THING ELSE SHE CAN DO FOR HIM TO GIVE HIM A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE?Help and Advice Needed for Rhodesion Ridgeback who has severe epilepsey?
Epiphen is the brand name for a drug called phenobarbitone. The first thing to do is to check the blood levels of the phenobarbitone. Those will be different from one dog to another. Several possibilities:

. Insufficient levels: increase the dose and re-check the blood levels in 3 weeks.

. Adequate level: another drug called potassium bromide can be added to the treatment.

If that fails, then it is not impossible that the dog suffers from another condition than epilepsy (brain tumour for example, those are potentially treatable as well but that may become very expensive and mostly insured animals get access to that kind of treatment).

Good luckHelp and Advice Needed for Rhodesion Ridgeback who has severe epilepsey?
dorwest herbs are very good for homeopathic remedies, you could try their website where you can post a quastion and they will respond, it would appear that your vet is stabilizing the siezures with the medication...
My brothers dog had phenobarbital and potassium bromide for her epilepsy, they worked for most of the time but she had cluster fits where she would have up to 30 fits over a weekend. It was very distressing for us and her, but fortunately it didn't happen too often. Ask your vet for different medication if you don't think the current one is working well. Our vet always insisted that the dog didn't know when she was going to have a fit bit I disagree, because sometimes she would be starting to fit but still be walking around in distress. Eventually she had to be put down because of extensive liver damage, and she was only 5 years old. Her fits were usually a minute or so in length, the 5 minute fits your sisters dog has are bordering on dangerous, they may be causing brain damage each time the dog fits. You really need to discuss this in detail with your vet, but whatever decision she makes must be hers, don't let the vet push her into something she doesn't want to do.

I wish the dog and you both all the best, I know what you're going through and I know how heartbreaking it is.
Not sure about the choice of medication - I've linked to a number of websites that can offer other treatment suggestions. Suggest you find a vet that specializes in CSD.

I'm not sure what your feeding, but I have an Akita with CSD (Canine Siezure Disorder) and he has done much better since I switched him off kibble and to a natural diet. If you can't or don't wish to feed raw, at least make sure you are feeding a super premium kibble with NO PRESERVATIVES. Don't just buy whatever the vet sells as they may have a financial interest in selling their stocked foods..

In any event - you can try giving the dog Bach's Rescue Remedy after a siezure - it helps dogs and humans recover from the trauma of a siezure much more quickly. If diet change and medication do not relieve the symptoms and the animal is seizing as regularly as you suggest, the kindest thing might be to put him down. Long duration siezures are very hard on an animal, phisiologically, as is medication. Many anit-convulsive drugs lead to severe liver damage in canines. I assume that, since you are medicating, that your vet has ruled out other causes of the siezures such as brain tumor, etc. Try exploring these websites to learn more about CSD.

Hi,type Epilepsy in dogs in yahoo search. There is loads of web sites.Good Luck to your friends Dog.
You can try another vet , but the humane thing to do is have it put down.

It's hard to do, but it's harder for the dog, because it can't tell you how bad it feels you can only guess.

There could be other things that bring the siezures on, like certain foods or even lights, or brain tumors.

I know this isn't much help, but I know how hard it is to have a sick pet , and have had to put down a few over the years. It hurts.

Need help writing an advice colum as if I were in the time of world war 1. Any Suggestions?

I have to write as person in the time of world war 1(1910-1920) having trouble with a problem then i have to write them back advice. I was thinking a soldier in love but seems to be losing his love every day in the war. I dont know though. Any suggestions?Need help writing an advice colum as if I were in the time of world war 1. Any Suggestions?
You could advise him not to worry about getting a Dear John letter because according to wikipedia they were not invented until WWII. For the soldiers on the front in the trenches the war was one of the worst situations a person could ever find themselves in. Supposing you COULD give them advice, love or otherwise, I think it should be reassuring! They were feeling bad enough about everything else without having to worry about problems on the home front.Need help writing an advice colum as if I were in the time of world war 1. Any Suggestions?
Well, would a soldier in action have time for reading the collumn? Of course, it could be a soldier in a base, but then, couldn't he be with his love? It doesn't seem so realistic.

If you were to do something, then you should be on the otehr side, having the girl come to you about not being able to be with her love who's off in war.

Remember, there were a lot of 'handy man' woman around, so they got more opportunities (think 'Woman's Baseball'); but only because the jobs that needed to be filled in had little male takers, since they were off at war.

  • Any advice to help get high school students to go to school?

I'm a psychologist in a school, and lately it seems like students don't want to go to school, don't care about their education, and don't ever turn in homework. I've got a 17-20 page list of students who are failing classes (not just one class, some are failing 5 out of 7). I'm young (25), but when I was in school, I don't remember the majority of people hating to go to school, and I don't remember teachers having problems with school work (maybe its because I was a student at the time, but still, I didn't hear it from peers).

Does anyone know what kind of positive behavioral supports I can easily implement so late in the school year?Any advice to help get high school students to go to school?
this is the program our schools use to reward students for attendance and high grades. hope it helps some.Any advice to help get high school students to go to school?
When I was in highschool we had incentive programs. For example, if everyone attended homeroom for a month (or if they didn't they had to have a valid note from a parent, guardian, doctor, etc) than the last school day of the month would be a ';free period'; for our homeroom. Also, we had a lot of in-school activities and field-trips. In order to attend hockey games, basketball games, etc during school hours or field trips out of school hours we had to have less than 1 un-accounted for skip per month during the year. A skip was considered a single class. We had four classes in the day, so if you skipped 4 classes that was 4 skips.

Being so late in the school year, it might be hard to start up an incentive program now, but you can always try to start it up.

I am a college student in need of some life turning career advice please help.?

Hi i am currently in college and i wanted to do a major in medical cause i want to make a lot of money cause i have to support my family. But the thing is I've heard that doctors hardly have a private life and that even residents work 8-12 hours per day. Can someone tell me how much do they work. Also if there is any other career in which you can make a lot of money as well as have time for your family. I am a college student in need of some life turning career advice please help.?
Working 8 hours a day is the normal amount of time for almost everyone.

Realize that residency is only a year or two, so even if you work long hours, it's not forever. Also, some hospitals are doing away with the crazy hours, because it makes the doctor less accurate, which can harm the patient. So you can research which hospitals do that and apply to one of those for your residency.

Doctors do need to be on call some of the time, but there are specialties where the hours are pretty regular. Dermatologists, for example, rarely need to rush to an emergency, yet they can earn big money. You can also get a job in business where your MD will bring big bucks, but it'd be a 9 - 5 job. For example, pharmaceutical, medical device, medical software and health insurance companies all need a doctor or two.

Most big money careers require a big time commitment. Law, stockbrokering, business executive - all can require working long hours.

Choose something you will like doing every day. Does it have to pay top dollar? What about a job that pays a middle-class income, like nursing, radiology tech, etc? The hours are more regular. What about hospital administrator? Again, there may be times when you work extra, but it shouldn't be the norm.I am a college student in need of some life turning career advice please help.?
We all want to make a lot of money. However, you do understand that you will NOT make a lot of money until you have completed your residency, in perhaps 10 years from now. Until then, you will be dirt poor and will be working long hours, specially when you are an intern. You will have no personal life to speak of until your residency is over and even then, you will be on call until you retire.

Do not go into medicine to make a lot of money. That is the wrong motivation. The big money only comes because of the horrifically long hours. Only go into medicine because you have an insanely intense desire to help people.

If you want to make big money and a lot sooner, go into law instead. People consider lawyers wanting to make a lot of money as a normal thing. Of get an MBA. And with both of these, when you leave work at the end of the day you are almost never on call and generally you have a far more sane work load.

How hard is it to replace intake gasket on 2000 Pontiac Montana? Any advice would help!?

Its not exactly hard - but there are many things that will need to be taken off before you can disassemble your intake manifold - including relieving the pressure in your fuel lines. please please please remember that the exhaust pushrods are longer than intake pushrods. don't get them mixed up. other than that, it's gravy. i can do one in about 3 or 4 hours. then again, i do this for a living, so just multiply that by 7 if it's your first time. How hard is it to replace intake gasket on 2000 Pontiac Montana? i wouldn't call it easy if you're a novice. if you think you can do it get a repair manual to help you. and take the other guy's advice about not mixing up the pushrods!

I am planning on taking the A+ certification test, do you have any advice to help me pass it?

Do all the practice questions you can do-if you read a questions and dont instinctively know the answer or understand it-skip it and go back later...no matter how thorough your book is they will throw you some curves-Id suggest buying another 1 actually just for the question CD-I dont know if Comptia does their exams now in the adaptive format (that is-no set number of questions-its asks you one question on a subject-if you get that right-it asks a harder one-and so on-) or the plain linear format (asks you a set number of questions no matter what)

Study hard and good luck!I am planning on taking the A+ certification test, do you have any advice to help me pass it?
The advice given in the above posts is good. Study, study, study. Then there is another little thing that I personally like to do and that is to pray about it and ask that I be able to remember what I have studied.

I know that this isn't the religion section but, hey, a little religion never hurt anyone. John 14: 26

    ';But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance . . . .';

    Works for me.
u will probably be ok, i studied less than that and passed. read the book out loud (worked for me) and make sure you have read it 3 times, understand it and can answer the questions at the end of the chapters.

  • A pro advice how to help a friend from drug abuse ?

well its more entirely my ex %26amp;%26amp; so far he is dedicated to change his life around. any professional advice how ?A pro advice how to help a friend from drug abuse ?
First of all, don't get back together with him. A person who's in recovery can't devote time and energy to a relationship. He needs to get sober and stable first.

Then a lot of it is going to depend on what drugs he was using and what his personal history is. A thorough evaluation by a psychologist may be in order if he has insurance, preferably one who has experience or a specialization in dealing with addicts. If you have any universities with a medical school on hand, call them up. They're usually happy to give out referrals.

But one thing anyone can do, regardless of income is go to a relevant Anonymous program - Marijuana, Alcohol, Narcotics, etc. While these don't work for everyone, they do work for a a very large number of people and really do have a way of getting at the psychological problems of a substance abuser and keeping them sober.

Certain substances, notably hallucinogens and amphetamines can cause some pretty ugly long term complications - essentially mild brain damage in some specific areas. If he was using these it's definitely worth his time to get evaluated by a doctor who specializes in treating addicts - again a local university is a good place to get resources.

Oh yes. And stay away from Narconon. It's a scientology based program that is revoltingly expensive, is based on some ridiculous ideas and has scammed thousands of of huge quantities of money. The name was picked to take on the air of legitimacy the 12 step anonymous programs have earned over the years. There's some users on here, Cella is one I think, who have first hand experience with that expensive brand of BS.A pro advice how to help a friend from drug abuse ?
He has to help himself. You can be a support system for him. My husband is a recovering drug addict. The best advice I can give to you is to research the disease. Once I realized that he suffered from a disease and not just a choice, it made it much easier for me change my behaviors to being supportive and not enabling him. I also learned that 99% of addicts (drugs and alcohol) actually suffer from undiagnosed mental disorders. Now that my husband has been treated for bipolar disorder, he no longer feels the need to self-medicate with illegal drugs. Educate yourself and your friend on drug addiction and see if he's willing to talk to a doctor/psychiatrist.
well, in that case there only one person can help that just your self, try to stop it step by step you know if people really want to change they an change just motivate your self, and trust your self that you can do it ,OK
A person abusing drug's has to want to change. Usually that person would have to substitute that drug with something else to coupe with that problem like beer. Its just easier.
Call Narconon. They deal with this kind of thing every day and run the largest drug rehab facilities in the world.

Im worried please help need advice on best way to wash my teeth being operated from 4 wisdom teeth?

im worried. i got operated from my wisdom teeth on tuesday and ive been washing my front teeth and a bit of the ones in the back. im scared of touching the operated areas i had wisdom teeth surgery for all 4 teeth. what would be the best way to wash your mouth completely while the 4 sockets are still healing? (i cant open my mouth much) it hurts if i try to open up my mouth more. please answer seriously thank you.Im worried please help need advice on best way to wash my teeth being operated from 4 wisdom teeth?
Use a small childrens tooth brush, and bruh slowly and gently, in a week or so it should be feeling well enough to brush normally, IF you rinse, use only salt water for the first week, only do what you can and don't try to force to much, when brushing the cheek side of your teeth close your teeth together so it is more comfortable...and dont worry it will be easier soon!Im worried please help need advice on best way to wash my teeth being operated from 4 wisdom teeth?
Since you are not able to get to your back teeth very well you need to make sure you are rinsing with some sort of mouth wash. I would try getting a smaller tooth brush so you have more control where the head of the tooth brush goes. Maybe a kids brush would help.
I would try the salt water rinse, not chance a toothbrush right now!
just rinse out your mouth with salt water.
Okay all you have to do is rinse your mouth out with warm salt water don't swish just use a gentle side to side motion of your head to reach the open areas of your wounds. Repeat 2 or 3 times. This will help the healing process so after you eat rinse with the salt water or warm water and remember do not spit because you do not want to create dry socket. After a few days try to open and close your mouth gently for a few minutes so that you can get use to opening your mouth but only go as far as you feel comfortable. Lastly do not constrict your mouth you want to make sure that you regain use of opening and closing your mouth. And remember to take your pains med. After a week or so gently brush your teeth and avoid touching the open wounds. Until you are fully healed use the warm salt water as a mouth wash because this is less harsh than mouth wash.

This helped for me when I had my surgery about 10 months ago.

    I hoped this will help.

If you're looking for tasty and healthy vegetarian food, try Chinese food, or even better yet, Thai food. I am personally addicted to Thai food. They have a really good dish call Spicy Fried Rice, I get it with Tofu in it. Extremely tasty and also very healthy. If you don't like spicy food, they offer it without the heat too. Or just add tofu to whatever your favorite veg. dish is, probably a rice dish would be the best.
That's awesome! I've been a vegetarian for about 5 months now, and its pretty easy!

One of the biggest things about being a vegetarian is being able to get protein from other sources like...

    Legumes

    peanut butter

    Pumpkin Seeds

    Nuts %26amp; seeds

Dairy products - milk, cheese, yogurt

    Cereals %26amp; food grains

    Soybeans

    Vegetables

    Fruits

    rice - brown if possible

    chick peas

    Tofu

If you are still concerned about losing protein, take a supplement.

Also, check out your local health food store.

    Good luck!!
Do a bit of research to figure out what you should probably include into your diet. A lot of people worry about protein, you can get that in nuts, beans, dark greens (brocoli), lentils... lots of options. As for advice on how to stop eating meat? Don't put it in your mouth lol. Find non-meat foods you enjoy eating and be creative. Make up some recipes or look some up online or in books.
What helped me was educating myself about vegetarianism (and veganism) as much as possible.

Diet for a New America by John Robbins is the classic book (with recipes in the back) that turned my life around. Depending on where you live, I'm sure you could find a copy at your local library; however, it's worth buying too.

Meeting other vegetarians/vegans may also help because you'll be around like-minded people who can support you when the going gets tough. Check out MeetUp.com to see if there are any groups in your area that get together.
I can never eat eggs cuz i just feel so bad and whenever i start to eat meat i want to throw up. i am now(kinda) a vegetarian. All i did was find yummy foods that had no meat. i eat a lot of vegs. and fruits, bread, and beans but i eat meat/ fish sometimes cuz we need it in our bodys
    Just do it.

A good way to wean yourself off meat is to use meat substitutes like veggie burgers and start adding a variety of vegetables into your diet
You just have to find alternative meals and try not to forget why you are doing it.

    good luck.
    don't eat meat

    nothing else to it

    its easy

i started it one day and never turned back and it's been a year not that long but still ok..

I'm a sub contractor for a security company, where do I go to help or advice if I'm having grievances at work ?

I'm a self employed sub contractor for a security company, where do I go to get outside help or advice, if I'm having grievances at whilst working ?I'm a sub contractor for a security company, where do I go to help or advice if I'm having grievances at work ?
If you are self employed you generally have to sort it yourself or pay for a lawyer to assist. If you have a home contents policy with legal cover you may be able to get free advice under that policy. If you have a contract with company you need to refer to that as the basis for a solution. However, note that even as a self employed person you're also entitled to all minimum statutory employment rights including:

    鈥aternity, adoption and paternity leave

鈥he right not to be unfairly dismissed

    鈥tatutory redundancy pay

鈥ll the rights that are given to 'workers' (below)

Need help and advice on planning a trip to South America?

Myself and two friends plan to travel to Central and South America around April of next year. We plan on visiting Mexico, then Peru and Brazil. What would be the best way of arranging our flights? Should we go to Peru first, or Mexico? Also, what would be the the average sum of money we would need for 1 month?

Any advise and recommendation would be very much appreciated!

If you are only traveliing one month, April is shoulder season in both north and south hemisphere.. pick your route according to the cheapest airfare. If staying for several months, avoid mexico in the north american summer.. ie do mexico in april, then head southwards.. brazil will be cooler and more tolerable in june..(it's always hot in the amazon)

one month for those three countries is crazy though.. you need 2-3 wks for peru alone... at least one month in brazil.. it really depends on how in depth you want to to get into each country..

Ditto on the spending money.. if you backpack, self cater, use local overland transport, and limit your partying (hard to do in latin america) .. but still enjoy sightseeing you could get by with $50 pppd..really depends on priorities.. that is a real basic budget .. no air travel..youth hostel or 2 star hotel.. $100+ pppd and you'l enjoy yourself a bunch more.

Good luck.. wish I was you...
