Have you any advice for me to help my Pomeranian with a collapsing trachea?

She's taking prednisone, hycodan and a phenobarb cocktail. I am not looking for more drugs as a solution.Have you any advice for me to help my Pomeranian with a collapsing trachea?
this happened to my aunts yorkie. try to keep it warm and comfortable. dont let it play too much or do anything that makes the dog breathe heavy. good luck i hope your dog starts to feel better.Have you any advice for me to help my Pomeranian with a collapsing trachea?
are you pulling too hard on her neck while leash walking. that might be the problem. I always reccomend a harness instead of a collar when leash walking.
Phenobarb is anti-seizure and prednisone is a steroid. I am not familiar with a collapsing trachea, but my dog recieved those drugs to treat her seizures and neurological disorder. Prednisone will cause your dog to gain weight. Phenobarb will rise to toxic levels over time. I would speak to your doctor about decreasing dosage over time, if possible, or switching to new meds so levels don't build too high.
